There she is, across the crowded room. She is a vision, the girl of your dreams. She gives you the eye as you walk closer. Her eyes are a beautiful sky blue and her hair is perfection. You reach out your hand to introduce yourself. She could be the one. You picture your future children but more importantly you picture how jealous your buddies will be when they see her with you. Then she smiles and suddenly your perfect girl is not so perfect.
We see them everywhere, on television, in movie theatres, and on the cover of magazines. Thats right, Im talking about a shiny white smile. All the actors have perfect smiles.
Of course most celebrities have spent many years and thousands of dollars to get those incredible smiles because they know that a white smile can make or break a career and even a relationship. But anyone can have a great set of teeth at a fraction of the cost celebrities spend.
Everyone would love to have great smiles like their favorite actor. However not everyone is born with wonderful smiles and strong healthy teeth. There are millions of Americans without health insurance let alone dental coverage.
Millions of Americans simply cannot afford insurance. It comes down to, do we buy food or insurance. Do we pay the electric bill or get insurance. This should not be the case. Dental and medical insurance should be affordable, even for the working poor.
Even without dental coverage there are things everyone can do regularly. While searching for that perfect smile. Obviously the most important thing is to brush 2 or 3 times a day, preferably after every meal. Flossing everyday is also a good, inexpensive way to keep your teeth and gums healthy.
If you have healthy white teeth you just feel better about yourself. It gives you a level of self-confidence that you will have for as long as you take care of them. There is nothing better in your everyday life than having self-esteem.
Having this high level of confidence will help you in your career and your personal relationships. Think about the first time you see someone of the opposite sex whom you are attracted to. One of the first things you notice is their smile; well, hopefully they are smiling at you.
Walking around town everyday we notice people with nice teeth. They dont put their hand up to their face when they laugh. They arent going out of their way to cover their teeth with their mouths. They are generally more outgoing than people with poor teeth.
So just remember, rich or poor, working or not, there is no better gift you can give yourself than healthy teeth for your whole life. Even if you have to put away a dollar a week until you can afford to see a dentist, you should do it.
Then when you see the woman of your dreams you will be able charm her with your perfect smile. And until that day comes, keep on brushing and flossing.

Skin Care Treatment In Your Refridgerator
When it comes to skin treatment, there are few things more satisfyingly exquisite than a pampering facial. A facial mask can help you relax and rejuvenate at the end of the day, or can mark the transition from a stressful week of work to a weekend full of fun. However, a facial skin treatment at an upscale spa can cost upwards of a hundred dollars, and being worried about the impact on your wallet can take the relaxation right out of a facial. Luckily, it is possible to whip up your own moisturizing facial mask at home with ingredients that you probably have in your kitchen right now. Making your own skin treatment at home can help you get the feeling of upscale luxury without paying top dollar.
The easiest and perhaps most classic skin treatment involves a single, skin nourishing ingredient: pure honey. To open your pores, drape a warm washcloth over your face for about thirty seconds; then apply a thin layer of honey over the surface of your cheeks, chin, forehead, and any other places that could benefit from an additional infusion of revitalizing moisture. Lie down and relax for ten to fifteen minutes while the honey penetrates your skin and replenishes it with moisture; then gently wipe the honey away with lukewarm water and a washcloth. Splash your face with cool water to snap your pores shut, then pat your face dry gently to seal in the moisture. This simple skin treatment lets you put your best face forward, and can help you give an average day a very special feeling.
Oatmeal makes for another simple skin treatment that is ideal for problem skin. If you suffer from breakouts or sometimes have trouble controlling an oily shine, an oatmeal mask can help pull the excess oil from your face without drying out your skin. This mask will gives you with a healthy, matte complexion that is sure to leave you smiling. Simply mix a bit of water into pure rolled oats to create a thick, moist paste. To open your pores before applying the mask, fill a bowl with hot water and lean over it face first, with a towel draped over the back of your head to create a kind of steam tent. For an extra luxurious scent, add a tablespoon of your favorite herb, like peppermint or rosemary, to the water. Breathe deeply for five to ten minutes, allowing the steam to penetrate the surface of your face. Then, wipe away the moisture on your face with your towel and, using your fingertips, gently apply a thin layer of the oatmeal paste all over your face. Wait for the oatmeal to dry and harden, a process that usually takes between ten and fifteen minutes; then wipe it away with a damp, lukewarm washcloth. Pat your face dry, and enjoy the results of your exquisite homemade skin treatment.

Hair Color Trends - The New You
Current hair color trends are defined within the move towards relaxed glamour. Healthy, shiny hair, with lots of movement, yet still well groomed. Color is defined - it's either pastel blondes, in clean, icy tones. Or cool browns, or brilliant reds. The move has definitely been away from red browns, although if that's a personal choice, or suits your skin tone best, don't be a slave to fashion!
Here are some ideas to incorporate the latest hair color trends into your style:
Double sided coloring - underneath, choose a darker color like chocolate, and over the top, and for most of the hair, choose lighter shades like copper and bronze. The darker color will frame your face, and if you go for any flicks or curls when styling, you'll see it contrasted against the lighter colors. But the main colors when hair is straightened will be the lighter ones. It's great for variety.
Try color combinations like coffee, honeycomb and golden syrup for a more subtle, layered effect.
For brunettes who like their chocolate browns, try a few golden highlights to break up the block of chocolate, unless your face and skin color can handle the density of such a rich dark color. It really helps define your hair style, and is much easier to wear.
If you like very dark colors, try a brown black instead of a straight black. Or get your hairdresser to mix in some blue black into the brown black to give it more intensity, but without the harshness of a solid black that is not flattering to all skin tones. Also, try mixing in some caramel and pink-red foils with a violet brown black base. If they're used creatively, and with restraint, you can keep the overall look very dark and mysterious, with a few hints of color showing.
For blondes, try mixing golden blonde with a very light ash. Or for a more subtle but contrasting look, have the ends of a bob colored a pale pastel coral.
If you want to try platinum shades, instead of going for a harsher white white, try a softer platinum white tinted slightly with pink.
For a pretty natural blonde look, try splicing a few clove and light ash foils through a pale, golden base shade.
Redheads: Go for a rich, fiery copper with a darker brown underneath, like clove. This works well on long hair and mid length hair.
For another red combination, try cayenne, nutmeg and paprika.
For really vibrant colors mixed with a darker base, away from the coppers, try a pink red combination of cassis and raspberry coulis.
For something a little more outrageous and individual, go for a brightly colored fringe, say in pink, and a few purple ends.
If you want something quite striking, but not so colorful, just go for a lighter than usual highlight. As long as it's tastefully done, it'll look great. Don't try this at home!!!
When choosing colors, be aware of whether it's a warm shade or a cool shade. And keep in mind how much of each color is going to be on your hair. Which shade, or tone, do you want the dominant one to be? Do you want a subtle effect, or a more striking one? Unless the contrasting color is going to be in small amounts, keep warm tones together, and cool tones together, irrespective of whether they are blond, brown, black or red. For example, chocolate brown highlights look good with warm vanilla, even though the colors themselves are quite distinct.
You can use different tones together. But it depends on both your skin tone, the way the colors are applied, and how much of each are used. If you're going for this approach, think of the contrasting tone as a painter would, and be judicious about it's placing.

Mineral Makeup (info you should know)
Mineral makeup is made from all natural minerals that come from the earth. Most of them are a combination of serecite, mica, titanium dioxide, and zinc oxide. Titanium dioxide and zinc oxide are natural sun blocking agents and are used in almost every bulk store bought sun block or lotion you can buy. Most minerals are also water proof so the hold of mineral makeup is usually all day with little or no touch up needed.
The minerals used in the makeup are very finely milled into a powder that is micro-fine and will blend well into the skin and look very natural. An outstanding range of colors in the minerals make it possible for mineral makeup manufacturers to offer a vast array of colors. A virtual rainbow has been made from blush, eye shadows, lipsticks, and foundation in hundreds of shades. It's easy to buy two or three different foundation shades and blend them for a custom color of your own because minerals blend very easily together.
Because our cosmetic grade minerals are so finely milled they won't clog your pores, and if some of them do happen to get into the blood stream, dont worry, after all they're all natural and they are completely safe for the body. Many doctors and dermatologists have proclaimed mineral makeup as the skin care makeup because it is so healthy for the skin and does not aggravate acne and it covers blemishes, acne, large pores, and scars very effectively.
If you're interested in a safe and natural alternative to chemical, oil and preservative laden makeup, minerals may be something for you to look in to.

Skin Care- Easy Control For Pores To Look Young
Skin care and pores-
Pores play a major role as far as our looks are concerned. When we have large pores that look still larger when we reach the mirror, we feel disheartened by what we see. There is no need to feel helpless about the pores. Let me tell you how you can look young with tight looking pores.
Skin Pores- pores are for sebum, sweat and hair
Why do we have pores? We have pores so that the hair can come out of them. The pores are an outlet for the sebum. That sebum helps us in having a healthy skin. Sebum protects skin against microbial infections. Sebum also helps keep skin moisturized. Sweat also comes from the pres. sweat, as we all know is important to keep body temperature constant. A pore is important for that.
Pores- why do they enlarge?
Pores may be enlarged due to two reasons. One - genetic and oily skin, two- they look enlarged but are not so. Many of us inherit enlarged pores. We can do nothing about them, except keeping them clean and using makeup intelligently. Those with oily skin also have enlarged pores that can be controlled to a great extent by keeping the oils under control. Many times the excess sebum and dead skin cells accumulate around the pores and make them look enlarged. This problem can be rectified easily.
Pores- exfoliate and keep them open
Keep the pores open by regularly exfoliating the skin with topical retinoids. Use AHAs to remove the dead cells and use pH-balanced cleansers to keep oil under control. This will help you keep your pores clean and they will not look enlarged.

Plastic Surgery vs. Reconstructive Surgery
Plastic surgery and reconstructive surgery are bandied about so much people often confuse them. While both involve the improvement of your appearance, there are distinct differences.
Plastic Surgery vs. Reconstructive Surgery
Both plastic surgery and reconstructive surgery are designed to improve the appearance of a person. This can be done through lifts, tucks, reshaping and so on. The correct usage of the terms, however, is dependent upon the underlying reason for the surgical procedure.
Plastic surgery is an elective surgery. In its most basic form, plastic surgery takes a normal part of the body and improves it in a manner desired by the patient. Common plastic surgery procedures include liposuction, breast enhancement or reduction, nose reshaping, reshaping of the abdomen and the well-known facelift. All of these surgeries are based purely on a voluntary desire to improve ones appearance.
Reconstructive surgery is often elective, but can also be medically necessary. Reconstructive surgery differs from plastic surgery in one significant way. It is focused on making improvements to a damaged or abnormal part of the body. For example, a person may suffer damage from trauma or disease that leaves a part of the body looking abnormal and functionally deficient, such as breaking facial bones in an automobile accident. Reconstructive surgery will be undertaken to repair the facial structure so that it both performs and appears normally. While appearance is important, most reconstructive surgery focuses on functionality first.
The differences between plastic and reconstructive surgery often blur. Breast enhancement or reduction surgery is a form of plastic surgery. Repairing breasts after the all too common complications of breast cancer is considered reconstructive surgery. Repairing the septum of the nose is considered reconstructive surgery, but simply reshaping the nose is considered plastic surgery. This blurred line is repeated in other areas as well.
Ultimately, the dividing line between reconstructive surgery and plastic surgery is mostly an academic debate or vary obvious given specific circumstances. Regardless, it is important to understand that there is a distinction.
