Among the Most Common Cosmetic Surgeries

Rhinoplasty, or surgery to re-shape the nose, is one of the most common of all plastic surgery procedures. Rhinoplasty can reduce or increase the size of your nose, change the shape of the tip or the bridge, narrow the span of the nostrils, or change the angle between your nose and your upper lip. It may also correct a birth defect or injury, or help relieve some breathing problems.

Rhinoplasty can enhance your appearance, and therefore your self-confidence, but it won't necessarily change your looks to match your ideal. Before deciding to have surgery, think carefully about your expectations and discuss them with your surgeon.
The best candidates for rhinoplasty are people who are looking for improvement, not perfection, in the way they look, as is with the case of any cosmetic procedure.

Good communication between you and your physician is essential. In your initial consultation, the surgeon will ask what you'd like your nose to look like, evaluate the structure of your nose and face, and discuss the possibilities with you. He or she will also explain the factors that can influence the procedure and the results. These factors include the structure of your nasal bones and cartilage, the shape of your face, the thickness of your skin, your age, and your expectations.

It is important for you to tell your surgeon if you've had any previous nose surgery or an injury to your nose, even if the incident occurred years ago. You should also inform your surgeon if you have any allergies or breathing difficulties, if you are taking medications or other types of drugs and if you smoke. All if this is important information. Don't hesitate to ask your doctor any questions you may have. Likewise, should the surgeon give you specific pre-operation instructions, follow them to the letter.

A nose job will normally take a couple of hours, though complicated procedures may take longer. How the actual surgery works will depend on your problem and your surgeon's preferred technique. When the actual surgery is complete, a splint will be applied to help your nose maintain its new shape. Nasal packs or soft plastic splints also may be placed in your nostrils to stabilize the septum, the dividing wall between the air passages. Recovery will take some time, so the first few days expect to stay in bed, and have an ice pack handy to help reduce swelling and bruising. Take any additional advice your doctor gives you, then enjoy! You paid for this new improved look, so go out in confidence and enjoy it.

How To Make Thinning Hair Lush and Thick

Even people with thinning hair dream of having lush, thick and healthy locks to set off their complete look. For most people with thinning hair, though, all of their styling endeavors are met with frustration and a resulting style that falls short of the image that they had envisioned.

But it doesn't have to be that way. Thinning hair does not sentence you to a life of dull and unstylish tresses. In fact, there are several things that you can do to make your thinning hair look stunning. And the best part is that these thinning hair options won't take a great deal of your time or money either.

The first thing that you need to do to make your thinning hair look fabulous is to find the right stylist. Search for a stylist who has other clients with thinning hair and is fluent in all of the right styles and techniques to both protect thinning hair and make it look thicker than it really is. You can do this by asking for referrals from friends who also have thinning hair but always seem to look like they have just left the salon.

Once you have found the right stylist, together you can begin to examine your options for making your thinning hair appear thick again. Since there are many different ways to thicken up your locks, it is very important for you and your stylist to talk about each thinning hair option together so that you pick the right techniques that are perfect for you and your thinning hair.

Here are just a few of the ways that you can make your thinning hair appear lush and thick:

"Cut and texture. One of the best ways to conceal your thinning hair is to find a cut that adds a lot of texture and movement to your style while at the same time makes your hair appear thicker. Since long hair tends to draw the eye to the reality of thinning hair, shorter hairstyles are often your better bet. Choose styles with a lot of layers and textures ends that will create movement and interest to your thinning hair style. Adding texture through soft curl can also be a great way to make your thinning hair look its best.

"Color. Not only does color add more body and thickness to your thinning hair, it can also be used to draw the eye away from particularly thin spots. Using a combination of low-lights, high-lights and color accents, your stylist can do wonders for your thinning hair with a color brush.

"Products. There are a wide variety of products on the market that can be used to conceal thinning hair. Products such as thickening shampoos and conditioners can do a lot for thinning hair. Also be conscious of what types of styling products that you use on your thinning hair. Use lighter products such as mousses and pomades over heavy products like gel and spritzs.

As you can see, none of these thinning hair remedies are complicated or expensive. Simply by learning how to best style your thinning hair and learning to use the right products can do a great deal to make your hair look like it is both chic and thick.

What Can You Do About Facial Hair Removal?

Your face is the first thing that people see. The last thing that you want is to have ugly facial hair causing others to look at you. And, it is just uncomfortable. Is there any solution for facial hair removal? Yes, there are many. You have options to removal much of the hair on your face including your eyebrows, the checks and chin, the upper lip and the nose hair. But, what is the right solution for doing so?

Facial Hair Removal For Men

First and foremost, men have many tools to help them with facial hair removal. For most men, the best method to use is that of shaving. If you are like most men, you realize the benefits of shaving with a good quality razor. You have a large selection of them to choose from as many companies are putting out better and better quality options. And, to make shaving less painful, there are shaving creams and gels that can help to reduce the irritation of the skin. Still, there are other options.

For The Ladies

For ladies who are fighting facial hair removal, there are fewer options but many that will work just fine. Shaving is not a good thing for most women. It can cause great irritation and is not necessary for the fine hair that most women battle. Most women are dealing with unwanted hair on their upper lip or strays here and there. In most cases, they will pluck them to rid them. Yes, it can hurt to do this, but it is a deep method of hair removal that should last several weeks. Still, there are other options available.

Depilatories: These are inexpensive solutions for hair removal of the face. If you are careful, they can be effective at dissolving visible hair. You can do this at home, but you will need to do it each time hair becomes visible.

Lasers? Electrolysis? These are also options. These offer permanent facial hair removal. By destroying the follicle in which hair grows from, the hair will no longer grow. While they can be costly, and may need to be done several times to be effective, they can actually help you to gain permanent hair removal as well as less painful ways of getting it.

Waxing: Ouch! Yes, waxing does hurt a bit but it is a great way of getting hair removal for both men and women. The hair is plucked from the root, which means that it will not grow back for several weeks. You can do this at your home or have a professional help you.

Which is the best option for removing hair from your face? The bottom line is that it is up to you. While not one method is fool proof and right for everyone, most of these methods can be done quite safely and to satisfy just about everyones needs.

Hair Salon Nightmares? Heres How To Choose A Good One

The number one thing that you can do to guarantee that you always receive the best hair cuts, latest professional techniques and stellar service is to choose the right hair salon. Granted, that is easier said than done. With hair salons on practically every street corner, narrowing down your options to find the right hair salon can be confusing.

Getting a referral to a hair salon by family and friends could be a good way to begin your search. But do not stop there. As you may already know, no two hair stylists take the same artistic approach to their work. That means that a particular stylist or hair salon may do a fantastic job on your Cousin Suzie's long layers and still not be quite able to pull off your short textured crop. That does not mean that your cousin's hair salon is inferior in any way. It just means that you need to find a hair salon that is more suited to your particular style and needs.

The easiest way to find a hair salon suited to your needs is to ask people with hair styles similar to what you want for a referral to their hair salon. These may be people you know or complete strangers that you see while you are out shopping. Do not be shy. If you see a cute style that you have been unsuccessfully trying to achieve, ask the person which hair salon they go to. You may never get a chance to do so again.

Another thing that you can do to make sure that you choose the right hair salon is to schedule a consultation. A consultation allows you to "feel out" a hair salon before making a commitment to a stylist that you may regret. During a consultation, you can observe the different techniques that the staff at the hair salon is using and how they interact with their customers. A consultation also gives you the chance to vocalize what you want and receive feedback from a professional, all before the first snip is made. Most hair salons also have a portfolio that you can look through of before and after pictures, which can give you a sense of what kind of work do.

During your search for the right hair salon, there are some red flags that can be easily detected that can warn you of impending disaster if you choose a particular hair salon. Here are just a few:

"Dirt and grime. A clean hair salon is mandated by the state, but some salons still tend to push the envelope where cleanliness is concerned. Look for sanitary procedures such as the use of clean combs and brushes, sanitary neck strips and a clean work station. If a hair salon feels dirty, do not frequent it. Look at it this way, if the stylists of a particular salon do not take enough pride in their hair salon to keep it clean, why would they take pride in the work they put out the door?
"Professionalism. The hair salon is a professional place, and you should feel like you have stepped into a den of luxury not one more suited to the Saturday nightlife. Again, it's all about pride. Professionals who take pride in their work will strive to create the right atmosphere for their customers.
"Communication. Communication is vital in a hair salon. Observe how the stylists interact with their customers. That is how they will interact with you.

In the end, it may take a little trial and error to find the right hair salon, but you can make your search easier by following the above advice. Always keep in mind, though, that choosing the wrong hair salon is not a death sentence. Simply brush yourself off and keep looking.

Survey Shows Men Gaining on Women in Caring for Skin

Men are rapidly gaining ground on women when it comes to skin care.

More than half of the men (51 percent) in a recent Harris Interactive survey admitted that they are caring for their skin better than ever before.

But despite an increased attention to skin care among men, many are still relatively unaware of what triggers common skin maladies and how best to treat them. For example, the survey found more than one-third of men (34 percent) are not sure what triggers cold sores, a common skin affliction that affects an estimated 50 million people in the United States.

Dermatologists caution that what their male patients don't know about skin care can hurt them. At a time when men are more image conscious than ever, they need to be aware of common risks, such as overexposure to sunlight, which can trigger unsightly cold sores and a host of other skin care issues.

"Ultraviolet (UV) light from sunshine and other sources is one of the most common cold sore triggers," says Dr. Debra Jaliman, a board-certified dermatologist in New York. "Not knowing that sunlight can cause cold sores and being unprepared to treat them can lead to larger, longer-lasting and more-painful outbreaks."

For image-conscious males who want to make the embarrassing blemishes disappear as quickly as possible, Dr. Jaliman recommends being prepared with over-the-counter medications such as Abreva, as opposed to lip balms and other treatments that can only claim to offer temporary, symptomatic relief.

"Abreva is the only nonprescription cold sore medicine approved by the FDA to shorten the healing time and duration of symptoms," she says. "The sooner you start treatment, the more effective you can be in limiting the cold sore's severity and duration."

Dr. Jaliman also recommends that those prone to cold sore outbreaks:

• Limit sun exposure, especially between the hours of 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., when the sun is at its strongest.

• Avoid tanning beds because the UV light they generate is just as likely as sunlight to trigger an outbreak.

• Wear sunscreen and lip moisturizer with an SPF of at least 15 and reapply throughout the day.

• Wear a hat to avoid sun exposure to the delicate skin of the face and mouth.

• Be cautious of the sunlight's reflection from water and concrete.

• Carry Abreva at all times, as it is most effective when used at the first sign of a cold sore.

Why Pretty Women Have it Better

Pretty Women. Do they have it easier than women who are less attractive? Well the consensus is, yes and no.

Its undeniable that pretty women have certain advantages over women who are considered to be not as pretty. Pretty women are often times treated better overall because of their appearance, especially by men. It could be in a retail shop, a restaurant, bar and its even said that attractive people are more likely to win out over a less attractive candidate for a promotion or even an initial job opening. And the lucky pretty ones can sometimes even talk their way out of a speeding ticket, but that also entails a degree of acting ability. Pretty women can even enter careers that are based solely on looks, such as modeling, that less attractive people cant ever consider as an employment option.

But there is also a downside to being a pretty woman. Pretty women have the same problems as everyone else. They often also have a harder time attracting a mate. Not a date, a mate. Many men are too intimated to even approach pretty women, no matter how badly theyd like to meet one. And the men that are secure enough to strike up a conversation with a pretty woman often times see her as nothing more than a trophy. Hence the date, not mate statement.

Its been said that many pretty women have self-esteem issues and do not see themselves as pretty even though they are told that they are on a regular basis. When they dont get a sign of interest from a man they see out in a social atmosphere because he is intimidated by her, that is a blow to her ego. Rejection, in general, is a blow to anyones ego, however not even being able to even make that initial contact might be an even worse scenario. There are plenty of women who are not only beautiful on the outside, but are also beautiful on the inside, who have yet to be married, have children or find that lasting relationship. Look around at the people you know and see how many couples are made up of men with average looking women. It will probably be more than the couples made up of men with beautiful women.

There are those pretty women who use their looks to their advantage, and a lot of times, take advantage. They may be egotistical and even arrogant. But to be honest, there are egotistical and arrogant people of every stature, not just the attractive ones. And a self-confident, pretty woman does not necessarily equal a conceited, pretty woman. We should all try to keep that in mind.

All About Beautiful Nails

Only if you take proper care of your nails will they look good. To keep your nails healthy and good all the time you will have to work hard on them. While at home, you can use a nail file, which is available in different sizes, shapes and designs.

To make your nails look beautiful, you can apply nail polish or use art nails. Art nails are basically fake nails that you can stick on your nail. Art nails are available in hundreds of designs and colors. You can choose from a floral design to a silvery tattoo design. You can even wear art nails that match with different dresses. As for nail polish, they are available in hundreds of colors and great shades. You can find every color from red to navy blue to even black. You can also find nail polish in glossy colors or with matte finish. One of the salient points of nail polish is that it can hide any flaw in your nail and at the same time provide a protective cover.

One of the most common types of nail polish is the base coat, which will prepare your nails for the actual solid color nail polish. The base coat will also protect your nails from getting discolored due to a color nail polish. The top coat of a nail polish also known as the clear coat is normally used on dry nail polish for protecting and hardening the color. It will protect the color from chipping off.

Tips for keeping your nails in great condition

How do you get really stunning nails? Well! There is no magic involved. Here are a few tips that will help you to keep your nails in good shape and they will look great too:

* You can apply some nail varnish remover just prior to coloring your nails. You can use the varnish even if you don't need to remove your old polish. The main function of the varnish is that it will make your nails look better by removing any kind of dirt or grease. This will also help the nail polish to last longer and not ship off.
* French manicure is considered as the best treatment for your nails. There are times when you might have problems in achieving the right and the most perfect type of French manicure. In such a scenario what you can really do is use a white nail pencil just underneath your nail tip instead of the white polish you have been using so far. This will make your French manicure much easier.
* Always ensure that the waiting time after application of a nail varnish is long so that each layer gets enough time to dry. This will also ensure that you get a lasting finish.
* To remove excess nail varnish, always use a cotton bud to remove it from the top of the bottle. This will basically prevent the nail varnish bottle from getting glued shut
* There is several beauty and cosmetic companies that sell nail polish with matching lip stick colors too. Using the same color on your nails as is the color of your lipstick will definitely enhance your overall appearance. Alternatively, you can even use nail colors that are in contrast with the lip stick colors.
* It is always better to apply numerous thin color coats as compared to a single coat of thick color. Numerous thin coats mean that the nail polish will last longer.
* Avoid removing and then reapplying nail polish more than twice a week. If you remove and apply nail polish thrice or 4 times a week then it will make your nails dry. You can get a remover that has a built-in moisturizer so that you can protect your nails from drying.
* You should give your hand and fingers a little massage from time to time so that the blood circulation is maintained. Good blood circulation means that there will be good nail growth.
* The simplest is the solid color manicure. It employs the use of mild solid nail colors and basic neutrals.

The most important thing is that you should eat healthy so that the color of your nails doesnt become yellowish. As long as you maintain a healthy diet with lots of vegetables and fruits, your nails will look beautiful, healthy and will have a pink tinge to it. To make your style statement bolder, you can wear a different color on your finger nails as compared to your toe nails. At the end of the day, coloring your nails is just another way of pampering your self.

Mummy Makeover....

In a woman's life journey, motherhood is perhaps one of the most important transformational experiences for many, it is the essence of what it means to be female. For all of the challenges and difficulties that raising a child entails, nothing can compare to holding that beautiful baby in your arms and feeling its pure innocence, warmth, and wide-eyed wonderment.
But when Mommy takes some time off to have a baby, she must often return to the workforce, which is competitive and places a premium on youth and attractiveness especially in image conscious places like Beverly Hills and Los Angeles.

The fact is, childbirth is a major ordeal, and so is nursing and they both leave their mark on Mommy's body. After baby is born, abdominal muscles are stretched, weight is often difficult to lose, and breasts may droop or sag. Nowadays, women have become empowered thanks to the tools of modern medicine, and the Mommy Makeover has fast become a very popular option for mothers wishing to get back their pre-pregnancy good looks.

Los Angeles Liposuction - reshapes and recontours the body by eliminating fat deposits around the waist and hips that were gained during pregnancy. Our Power-Assisted Liposuction procedure has less pain and down time than conventional lipo!
Los Angeles Tummy Tuck removes excess abdominal skin and fat; tightens the tummy area. Liposuction alone does not get rid of the appearance of hanging abdominal skin, which is caused by the severe stretching of the stomach muscles in childbirth. Only a tummy tuck actually corrects the problem by tightening the lax abdominal muscles.
Los Angeles Breast Augmentation corrects breast volume reduction common after pregnancy. Many mommies are surprised by the "shrinkage" that they see in their breasts, and using breast augmentation (breast implants) can restore a woman's full breasts.
Breast Lift corrects sagging and/or asymmetrical breasts. Unfortunately, with the stresses of childbirth and nursing, the breasts can become a bit saggy. However, the good news is a breast lift can make breasts look "brand new" again.
Breast Reduction Breasts may become significantly enlarged because of hormonal changes during pregnancy, and if the breasts are too large, they may become uncomfortable even painful. Breast reduction brings you back to a more normal size, making you feel younger and less "weighed down."
Laser Skin Treatments Although we don't tend to think about it as much, a woman's skin is also commonly affected by pregnancy and childbirth. Stretch marks are one obvious manifestation. Skin hyperpigmentation, blotchiness, and acne breakouts are also seen (probably due to hormonal changes), as are vascular lesions such as " spider veins". Laser treatments are available for all of these conditions, and TopSurgeons is known for having the world's largest selection of advanced laser machines.
So make the most of motherhood, but look like you did before your baby was born with a Mommy Makeover by the plastic and cosmetic surgeons at TopSurgeons! Call us at 800-506-8084 to book your consultation, or make and appointement today with Dr. Omidi. Visit us at kxxp://www.topsurgeons.com

Most sandalwood available on the market has been poached in India, sometimes by organized gangs who also poach elephants. Like most essential oils trade d on international markets, sandalwood oil is often adulterated with petrochemical oils. Aveda's quest for the Earth's purest, finest organic sandalwood oil that can be traceably sourced, sustainably harvested and where the oil extraction process uses steam instead of petrochemical solvents took them to the Aboriginal People of Australia.

Until recently, the Aboriginal Peoples who have harvested sandalwood from their lands have received a very small percentage of the profits from the final harvest. Aveda's partnership with communities of Mardu Peoples of Kuktabubba assures responsible sourcing and harvesting practices. . For the Mardu Peoples, the harvesting of sandalwood provides a sustainable economic base for its people. As partners with Aveda, the Aboriginal Peoples receive fair payment for their sandalwood harvest, creating a business where all parties benefit.

Makeup For Dark Skin

Makeup is essential in women life. It is must for every woman. The breed of women is of many types like short, tall, slim, fat or extra slim. Skin color also varies like white, whitish, toned or black. The variety list may go long but one thing is common and that is every woman needs makeup. So the question arises, do all the woman needs same type of make or something else. While application of makeup is concerned, it widely varies according to skin color and body type. So what type of make suits to a given skin color is a definite requirement to know.

So come on black beauties and know how to do your makeup to be street smart and gorgeous. The secret of you black beauties lies in the selection of shades, so it is best advisable for you to know about undertone found in dark skin. You also will need well hydrated skin to apply some makeup. Here goes the to make your skin beautiful and healthy.

Any black object is a good absorber of light and radiation and hence the good reflector also. Since your skin is dark it will also behave in the similar manner, thats why dark skin seems oily, even though it may not. Because of your skin color, you will need to avoid creamy foundations and choose from liquid foundations or water based foundation. You must choose the foundation, the shade of which is lighter than your skin tone. It would be better, if you will find the foundation color closer to the color of your skin. Apply foundation and powder lightly, because dark skin reveal the layers of makeup more than any other type of skin, say fair skin etc.

You should blend the foundation well. To do blending properly add a drop of water to the foundation. Do mixing and then apply. Check for the effect in daytime. After applying the foundation, try on a little baby powder. This will give your skin the necessary luster. Do not use too much powder and always dust of the extra powder.

Choose the colors like coral, rose, deep orange for your blush. Peachy shades and browns are a complete no no for you. If you have extremely dark skin tone, rose pink color will make your day, however for nights, choose shades of bronze, plum and wine. To give luster to your skin tone, blend the blusher well over your cheekbones. A touch of golden color will make you dark skinned glamorous and gorgeous on special occasions. You can apply golden at your temples and corners of your eyebrows.

If you want to use eyeshades, prefer soft brown with a darker brick brown. Say no to light colors and whites. For upper eyelids, use light brown. In the tuck of eyelid, use dark brown and drag it slightly outward. This will give depth to your eyes.

If you want to try on more color, choose from dark blue, wine or purple eyeshades to line your eyes, closer to the eyelashes. You also can line the eyelids with dark blue, dark grey, wine or purple color. Do softening of the lines with a soggy brush or with a sponge tipped applicator. Outline the eyes with kaajal using kaajal pencil. Kaajal makes your eyes appealing and cool and this will extremely good on Asians and especially Indian women. You also can do Mascara to thicken the eyelashes. Mascara will give glamorous look to you.

For your lipstick choose colors like copper, bronze, dark red, wine and burgundy. You can use a single color or a blend of two colors according to your skin color. For nighttime use darker colors. Do not use lipstick in excess. It will be good, if your lip color will match to your nail colors. Try to maintain a balance between your eyes and lip color so that one does not look heavy on other.

Proper balance and color blending is important for color makeup. It is as equally important as your clothing.

So that if you are a dark skinned beauty, tries on your makeup as discussed above. After all brown is beautiful.

Botox - What Does It Do?

With all the hype and insanity over people getting Botox injections for everything from a sagging chin to a droopy eyelid, one has to wonder just what it is that Botox does and how exactly does it work?

To understand exactly what Botox is and what it does, we first have to look at just how this amazing miracle of modern science came to be.

Botulinum toxins, which are what Botox basically comes from, were first researched back in the good old 60s during the hippie era. Originally the purpose of this was to treat neurological disorders. In 1989 Botox was finally approved by the FDA to treat eye muscle disorders like blepharospasm, uncontrollable blinking, strabismus, crossed eyes and even wrinkles. In the year 2000 it was approved to treat cervical dystonia. This is a disorder that causes severe neck and shoulder contractions and also a very unusual side effect of eye disorder treatments. In their research, doctors discovered that Botox softened the frown lines between the eyebrows. It was after this discovery that Botox officially came into existence and was FDA approved on April 15, 2002.

So what exactly does Botox do? How does it work? Well, when Botox is injected into the muscles of the forehead, it blocks nerve impulses which results in the weakening of the muscles that cause frowning. Eventually over a period of several months, given enough of these injections, the frown lines start to get softer and in many cases eventually disappear completely. Botox can also be injected into the muscles of the face that cause crows feet, forehead lines and frown lines.

Botox injections themselves are actually a diluted form of botulism. Yes, the same botulism that can make us very ill. Botox cosmetic is a purified form the Botulinum toxin.

The next question is, how exactly does it work? Well, to put it simply, every time you laugh, smile, frown, or for that matter do just about anything with your facial muscles, wrinkles are caused by the underlying contractions of these muscles. After years of making these expressions the wear and tear on your face begins to be noticeable and the lines start to become permanent. When these creases become permanent, no kind of skin cream can get rid of them. That's where Botox comes in. After being injected into the effected area, it temporarily paralyzes these muscles so that you can't make these expressions. That's why people who have had Botox injections literally look like mannequins. You'll still have enough movement to look semi human (a matter of opinion) but not enough to cause these wrinkles. So in fact by taking these Botox injections they make you look younger.

So what's the price for this "fountain of youth?" Botox is not cheap, my friend. The average cost of just one Botox injection in the United States is about $350. This also depends on what area of your face is getting the injections. The area near the eyes is more expensive, costing between $400 and $900 per injection. For large surface areas such as the forehead, injections can be between $600 and $1300 a pop.

And with all the fuss about simply looking younger, one has to wonder how safe these injections are. That is probably best left for another time.

10 Easy Steps To Clearer Skin

At some stage in all our lives we want clearer, fresher, younger looking skin. Well it can be achieved without spending a lot of money and it can happen naturally! What you must do is persevere and over the course of three weeks your skin will begin to look fresher and clearer. Here's how;

1. Keeping your skin clean is your first priority! You must cleanse your face morning and night with a gentle, natural cleanser that not only rids the skin of dirt and grime but then treats it with an antibacterial ingredient like tea tree oil.

2. After cleansing the skin pat dry and then spray a fine toning mist over the face to cool and help close the pores while they are clean. Let this mist dry on the face.

3. When the toner has dried apply a very small amount of moisturizer over the entire face and neck. Look for a moisturizer that is made for problem skin types and contains antibacterial ingredients like tea tree oil and lavender essential oil. These ingredients are gentle but very effective at clearing the skin from blemishes and pimples.

4. Getting the right amount of restful sleep your body needs nightly will reflect in the state of your skin. Seven hours is generally adequate. Not enough sleep over a period of time will result in problems that are hard to cure such as loose skin under the eyes and dark circles.

5. The food you eat is of the utmost importance for healthy, clear skin! Make sure you are getting a good amount of fresh fruits and vegetables and limit your red meat intake to three or four times a week. Foods that are easily digested will help your system keep your skin nourished and promote fresh, new cell growth. Drink lots and lots of water too!

6. Cleanse the skin on your body and face with a weekly scrub. When using a body scrub start at your feet and work towards the heart, this helps eliminate toxins. Doing it the opposite direction will push the toxins back into your system. Use a very gentle facial scrub on your face and neck as these areas can be easily damaged.

7. Try an Aspirin face mask! This mask is having fantastic results on those people with open pores, pimples and acne. Crush about 15 aspirin tablets to a powder mix to a paste with a little water, less than 1 teaspoon and then apply to a cleansed face. Leave for twenty minutes to work its way into the skin and then rinse off and apply a light moisturizer. Try this weekly, after a face scrub.

8. Once a month use a home steam treatment to thoroughly draw out impurities from the face. Add boiling water to a basin or bowl and add two drops of tea tree oil. Place your face over this with a towel covering and gently let the steam open and cleanse the pores. Be careful not to let the steam burn your face. Finish with a tepid face wash.

9. Get out into the fresh air and take a walk, swim in the sea, ride a bike and have fun! The exercise will boost your system and your skin will love it.

10. Take a fish oil supplement daily. Cultures that eat a lot of fish have clearer skin and the fish oil helps eliminate toxins from the body and by now you know that is fantastic for your skin!

These ten easy tips will help you get that clear skin you so desperately want, remember to make the lifestyle changes you need to and enjoy the benefits that will come with it! A fresher, clearer more youthful looking complexion.

Rice Gream Cream Moisturizer

Question : Which part of rice that makes face firming and glowing ?
Answer : It is the rice germ because there are plentiful minerals, unsaturated fatty acid and vitamins especially the natural vitamin E which is in high quantity as Tocols (Tocopherol & Tocotrienol), Gamma-Qryzanol and Ceramide. These substances are useful and valuable to human skin cells since they help protect the skin from being damaged by UVA and UVB which are the cause of melasma, freckle and skin cancer. They also help protect and reduce pain from a sunburn, nourish the skin with moisturizer, revitalize the skin and diminish wrinkles, fine line and dryness.
Tocols : The natural vitamin E as Tocopherol and Tocotrienol are very good for health since they are the anti-oxidant substances while free radicals are the main cause of cancer.

Gamma-Qryzanol : It is the active ingredient in supplementary diet and cosmetics. It can reduce cholesterol level, reduce constriction of blood vessels, improve blood circulation, cure the abnormal symptoms of menopausal women, reduce stress, function as anti-oxidant substances, protect the skin from UV and nourish the skin with moisturizer.

Qryza Ceramide : It is Sphingo lipids which are normally in the subcutaneous layer making the skin flexible. If the quantity of Ceramide decreases, the skin will become dry and wrinkled. Thus, Ceramide should be always sufficiently added to body by taking in or applying lotion to the skin.

Perhaps the easier situation to deal with is the one in which a person ends up having an allergic reaction to some sort of care and cleaning product associated with the use and wearing of contact lenses. On the market today are a number of different products that have been designed to assist people who do have certain types of allergic reactions to more standard types of contact lens care and maintenance products.

The reality is that in some instances the products designed to aid people who have allergic reactions to more traditional types of contact lens care products do cost more than those traditional products. However, there are a number of resources available to a person who is interested in purchasing specialize contact lens care and cleaning products that are designed for people who have allergy problems. For example, the Internet is proving to be a good resource for people who are interested in saving money on products such as those designed to be of assistance to people who might otherwise have allergy problems with more traditional types of contact lens care and cleaning products.

Dealing with allergies from the environment that are aggravated by contact lenses can be more difficult to deal with in many instances. In some instances, it may be necessary to abandon the wearing of contact lenses all together. However, before you take such a drastic step, you would be well served to visit an allergist to determine if there might be some medicinal or other regimens that might assist you in combating the symptoms of various allergies, particularly those that are aggravated by the wearing of contact lenses.

Good oral care means a regular old Fashioned brushing and dental flossing

Face it, as we age, our teeth become worn and dull. One way to limit the dull look is to take control and develop a consistent oral hygene regimen. This effort should include brushing your teeth regularly with a quality, soft bristle toothbrush and the use of dental floss. Nothing else can do more for your overall outlook than a healthy and clean mouth.

Over time and through use, we wear down the protective enamel or outer coating of our teeth. Like almost anything else that ages, this leads to a worn and less then beautiful smile. Unfortunately, this wearing away of the enamel also creates small ridges where food and beverages act to discolor your teeth.

You can decrease your chances of having tooth decay by cleaning your teeth on a regular basis. Chronic gingivitis (bleeding gum disease) will heal as long as you are able to keep plaque under control. For some adults however, the buildup and retention of plaque is much more of a problem. For some reason, plaque seems to adhere much better to their teeth and builds up quickly even if brushing and flossing regularly. .

Your daily diet is one of the numerous contributing factors to plaque, and also the consistency of your diet. Good oral care demands a proper brushing of your teeth at least twice and preferably three times a day. Of course, dental care professionals have recommended brushing after every meal or snack.

It's also important to remember to brush properly in order to remove plaque. The elderly and children often need to use utensils other than a simple toothbrush to do this. Plaque cannot be "prevented" necessarily; but it can be "controlled" by simply brushing correctly and brushing often. If you have a constant bad build up of plaque, you should probably consider one of the more popular sonic type toothbrushes. These do a great job at controlling plaque build up though are quite a bit more expensive than a regular toothbrush.

You should know that when there are a variety of home oral care tools to choose from these days. Sometimes people having hand eye coordination difficulties may benefit from a simple electric toothbrush. These handly gizmos are also great for older folks who might have problems with holding their hand up to use a regular toothbrush. Kids are another group that an electric toothbrush might help to get the job of oral hygeine done correctly in the least amount of time. Remember that there are a variety of tools that are used to clean hard to reach areas: dental floss that come in a variety of types like waxed, non-waxed, flat, round and textured, with baking soda, with fluoride and flavored. There's also dental floss holders. These items can be found at drug stores, grocery stores or through medical supply stores.

There are many benefits to brushing and flossing your teeth. First and foremost, you can help prevent tooth decay by this practice. Brushing and flossing also prevent gum disease, which is a primary agent in decaying and lost teeth.

So now you see that dental cleaning is not only a practice in the dental office, but also at home in your own bathroom. Good oral care helps contribute to your overall health by promoting upkeep and maintenance. A good Tooth brushing and use of a quality floss will keep dental plaque and other debris from becoming stuck between and on your teeth.

Facts about tanning beds

A tanning bed produces UV rays and thus just like the sun there can be some health issues when using it. You can tan safely by following the tanning bed tips provided by many people that have been in the tanning business for many years. Here are some tanning bed facts.
Skin type

No matter what type of tanning bed you are using, if you dont know your skin type you could land up in trouble. There are five basic skin types. The lightest being albino the darkest being naturally dark pigmented skin such as Asian or African. And then there are the ones in between.
The type of skin you have will determine how long and how often you can tan. Some skin types burn much quicker, while others seldom burn at all when tanning. The salon you tan at will help you determine your skin type. If you are tanning at home then refer to the manual that came with your tanning bed when you purchased it.

Tanning Lotions

always use a tanning lotion that is designed specifically for indoor tanning. Stay away from the oils. They are messy and they get all over the acrylic which then blocks the rays from reaching you and makes the bed tough to clean.
Use a tanning lotion appropriate for your skin. So if you burn easily choose a lotion with a higher SPF. Never use inside lotions outside or outside lotions inside. Each is designed to protect you from specific rays associated with that type of tanning.
Doesnt Let Yourself Burn

avoid a sun burn at all costs? In the tanning world this is the golden rule. Some people will burn much easier than others and you need to take steps to avoid burning at all costs. If you are really fair and you never tan without first getting a burn, then dont tan. Its that simple. Burns are dangerous to your health and the cause of skin cancer. No tan is worth risking skin cancer. Tan smart!
Choose Your Bed carefully

you should always start with a lower watt tanning bulb bed just to make your skin use to the UV rays. The beginner beds arent as powerful as the mega beds and it will give you pigment time to develop. Once youve got your base tan you can move to a bed that has stronger tanning bulbs. If you stop tanning and you loose your tan then you have to start all over again from the beginning with a low watt bed. The strong tanning bulb beds are very powerful and you will damage your skin if your skin is not ready for them or havent had a tan for a while.

Home Tanning Beds

you might want to consider purchasing your own bed. Although the commercial beds are great you have to work your schedule around their schedule and it seems youre always rushed. With a bed at home you can relax and enjoy your tan and you can tan in the privacy of your own home. Its a great end to a busy day.

Home tanning beds can be purchased for a reasonable price, especially if you calculate how much it cost to go to a commercial bed. Remember there is not just the cost of session but the gas to get there, the wear and tear on your car, and the cost of your time. Its something to consider.
Of course there are advantages to commercial tanning beds to. They always have the latest and greatest beds. They absorb the cost of replacing bulbs that have become weak, and they do all the maintenance and repair. All you have to do is show up the rest is their worries.
However you decide to get your indoor tan, just be smart and tan in moderation. You can have that beautiful golden tan if you play youre tanning bulbs right!

Tribal Tattoos and Tribal Tattoo Designs Uncovered

Theyre one of the most popular tattoo designs in the entire world, and although they have become so mainstream, people around the world are still buying into the traditional tribal tattoo design.

Tribal tattoos are absolutely fascinating. There are so many different types that its impossible to say anything bad about the design in general. There are so many different people and tribes throughout culture and history who have practiced this traditional tattoo. To call a tattoo tribal simply means to be of a tribe, but the style hasnt been taken from one specific group of people. Instead it is characteristic of bold, solid black patterns similar to the styles of Polynesia and the Pacific.

Tribal tattoo art is significant of its sweeping curves and sharp points that work together to form patterns. The tribal style can easily be a part of any type of image and can portray just about anything at all.

The tribal tattoo was not originally intended to be something that looked cool. The main intent for the tattoo was power, in that the Samoans believed a body suit of tattoos was a great step toward becoming a man. American Indians used the style of body art to protect themselves while in battle, and Burmese villagers believed that tattooing a design over the heart will protect the area of the body from bullets. Tribal tattoos are not meant for looks, but more for the extreme symbolism saturated within the design.

Tribal tattoos were once significant only to Pacific Islanders and Africans, but now are one of the most popular throughout the entire world. Within the Maori culture of New Zealand, tribal tattoo symbolism is a huge part of their lives. Many believe the Moko style of tattoo, in which the tribal tattoos are drawn on a face, believed to be a necessity in the afterlife. The Maori people believed tribal tattoos helped spirits find and identify dead Maoris.

The Maori people used small chisel-shaped pieces of bone when creating their tribal tattoos. The bone was dipped in pigment, and then struck with a mallet to create the grooves and characteristics of the desired tattoo. But when creating the Moko tattoo, artists needed for the bone to penetrate deep into the skin and cuts were often so deep that they went straight through the cheek. But the pride of the Maori warriors kept caused them to continue the fascinating body art.

The decorative art of the tribal tattoo was said in earlier times to reflect their character and the fierceness of their nature. Even if the ancient warrior was killed by their enemy, the untattooed body would be kicked aside, while the tattooed would be treated with respect.

Today tribal tattoos are so rarely looked upon for their symbolism, but more for the beauty of the design within itself and what it means to the individual person holding the art.

A short-cut to a smooth and healthy skin!

You are 25 but look 35. Blame it on your skin! The skin is the largest organ in the body, and the most exposed. Pollution, ultraviolet rays in the Sun's light, stress, lack of essential vitamins, all contribute to wear and tear your skin.

Most people don't take proper care of their skin - either due to hectic work or due to pure ignorance. Lack of proper skin care can result in more skin-related diseases and allergies. Proper skin care is important for avoiding cold sores, spots, and skin cancer. Beauty therapies and skin care lotions are only effective up to a point when it comes to keeping your skin soft and smooth.

Exposure to sunlight causes loss of water in our body which leads to dryness of the skin. This results in the skin losing its elasticity and 'sagging.' This loss of elasticity normally happens with ageing. However, changing climatic conditions and atmospheric conditions such as ozone depletion cause the harmful ultraviolet B rays to cause more damage to our skin. This is where nutrition comes in.

In order to get the right skin, it is important to look at the part played by nutrition in skin care. That translates as getting more nutritional food into your diet. Lack of proper nutrition may result in the loss of natural oils present in your skin. Fresh vegetables, fruits, fresh juice, cereals, etc. contain vitamins essential for a healthy skin.

Vitamin E is said to be a skin-care vitamin. Apart from vitamin E, vitamins such as A and C are also essential for a healthy skin. These vitamins contain antioxidants which help the skin to maintain its natural oils. These antioxidants help to reduce the tendency of the skin to age. Ultimately they help fight the punishing effect that the climatic changes have on our skins.

But where do you get the vitamins and nutrients necessary for your skin's health? Not from your daily diet. For various reasons, people cannot get the right quantity of vitamins and other nutrients into the body through their normal diet. And synthetic vitamins are out.

Enter glyconutrients. Eight essential sugars have been discovered to be the essential building blocks for our body cells recently. There is a lot of research going on about these essential sugars and the larger group of saccharides of which they are a part, called glyconutrients. These eight simple sugars are responsible for cell-to-cell communication necessary for keeping the body's glands and organs, including the skin, healthy.

Skin care ointments and lotions containing glyconutrients are the best alternative to any beauty therapy. The intake glyconutrients is equally important for health care as well as skin care.

Consult your doctor or dietician, exercise, and drink a lot of water. And give your skin its daily dose of glyconutrients!

Techniques For Applying Eyeliner

Applying eyeliner can be tricky at the best of times but there are some tried and tested techniques that if followed, should give you fabulous results.

For a fine and natural look, apply a thin line of eyeliner to the lower lid. Then blend in with a brush if needed.

For the fuller, round looking eye, first apply to the upper lid, making a thicker line in the middle of the lid using a pencil or liquid eyeliner. Now blend in with a brush if needed to give a smoother line.

For larger looking eyes, line only the outer half of the upper and lower eyelid. If you are going for the dramatic look, apply a thick line of eyeliner to upper and lower eyelid, blending in with a brush if needed.

For narrow eyes, only use eyeliner on upper lid to avoid closing eyes further. For the outer part of the eyelid, use pale colours to give shape and definition. Artificial lashes beneficial to help open eyes and make lashes appear thicker.

For heavy eyelids, use pale colours only on the eye socket. Apply artificial lashes to the corners to lift the eyes and help to make them appear more open and wide.

If you have close set eyes, for the inner lid, pale colours should be used. While on the outer lid, darker colours should be used. Blend from pale to darker shade using brush, blending darker shades up and out. Use eyeliner on the outer half of the eye. Eyebrows should be shortened at nose to help create a wider gap between the eyes.

If you have deep set eyes, use pale colours only on the eye socket; use a slightly darker shade above the crease of your eye socket. Use eyeliner on both the upper and lower lids, blending in to soften the lines. Mascara or artificial eyelashes is beneficial to help highlight the eyes further.

With wide set eyes, use darker colours for the inner lid and pale colours on the outer lid. Extend the eyebrows towards the nose to narrow the gap between the eyes using an eyebrow pencil.

For round eyes, use pale colours over the entire eye socket and in the crease of the eye, blend in a darker shade. Apply eyeliner to top and bottom lids and apply mascara on upper and outer lashes only.

For almond shaped eyes, use a light shade of eye shadow from lashes to the brow. Use a medium shade on eyelid and a darker shade on the outer third of your eyelid.

Finally, here are some eye makeup tips for the more mature. Avoid black eyeliner and mascara as these can be too harsh. Instead opt for softer neutrals such as grey or brown for a softer, attractive look.

As a parent you have many responsibilities. You are responsible for providing your children with an education, food, shelter, clothing and making sure that they remain safe. The list of your duties goes on and on. With all that you have to do, you may not be able to pay enough attention to protecting your child's teeth. It is however an extremely important duty. Protecting your child's teeth now will help them for the rest of their life and could save you thousands of dollars in future dental bills. Here are a few tips to help you maintain your child's dental health.

Set Up Regular Doctors Visits
The most important thing to do is to set up regular doctors visits. Once your child reaches the age of one, you should see to it that they visit the dentist every six months. By doing so, you will catch problems early before they become more painful and more expensive.

Establish Good Oral Hygiene
Establish good dental habits early with your child. Teach them to brush their teeth at least twice a day. Make sure that they also floss at least once per day. If you establish an oral hygiene routine early in life, chances are that they will stick with it forever.

Protect Their Teeth From Injury
You can not prevent every injury, accidents do happen. You can however prevent some injuries. If your children play sports, have them wear a mouth guard. Mouth Guards prevent thousands of oral injuries every year but could prevent thousands more. They should be worn in all physical sports, not just football or hockey. They can be injured just as easily in soccer, baseball, basketball and just about every other sports involving physical contact.

Stop Bad Habits
Thumb and pacifier sucking should be stopped as soon as possible. After the age of 2 pacifier sucking can have a great negative impact on how their teeth come in.

Establish A Healthy Diet
Limit how much sugar your child eats. Sodas and candy will eat away at your child's teeth. Get them in the habit early of not overindulging in sugary snacks.

These are just a few simple things that you can do to assure that your child has good dental health. Your children may not want to do all of them but one day they will thank you for making them.

Cosmetic Procedures in Thailand

Thailand is called the land of smiles and for a good reason. Like all medical care, cosmetic surgery in Thailand is inexpensive and of a high quality.

Cosmetic Procedures in Thailand

Cosmetic surgery can be an expensive and time consuming experience. When choosing to have a cosmetic procedure, you need to weigh all of your options carefully before committing to having the procedure done. While many people will save their money for years in order to get their cosmetic surgery done by the most trendy doctors in places like New York City and Los Angeles, other patients have found a way around this long wait and expense. More and more, people are taking vacation trips to other countries and combining these trips with cosmetic surgery procedures.

When it comes to taking trips for cosmetic surgery Thailand has been at the forefront of this trend. Since the early 1990's, tourists have been flocking to Thailand for the care of their cosmetic surgeons, clinics, and posh recovery sites. The favorable exchange rate with Thailand combined with less expenses incurred by the surgeons means that patients who choose to have their procedures done here will pay far less than what they would in the United States. Phuket, an island resort in Thailand, has been offering their special brand of cosmetic surgery and vacation atmosphere to patients for years.

When choosing cosmetic surgery, Thailand offers a lot more than just a cheaper place to have your procedure done. Surgeons at the Phuket Cosmetic Surgery Clinic are also world-renowned for a special type of cosmetic surgery sex reassignment, or sex change, surgery. They are one of the few clinics in the world that offer this type of surgery, but they are certain not to take such a change in their patients' appearance lightly. Anyone who wants sex reassignment surgery performed here must pass rigorous psychological studies and medical testing before the surgeons will consent to the procedure. Of course, the doctors of Phuket and other cities in Thailand perform many other types of cosmetic surgery, and the country also offers some of the best spa retreats in the world where you can relax and recover from your surgery in style.

You can also entertain yourself with the many cultural activities that Thailand has to offer, but you must remember some items before planning your trip. There is always some risk to cosmetic surgery, whether you choose to have it performed in the US or Thailand, so be careful to research your doctor and clinics thoroughly before leaving for your trip. Another issue may arise in the language barrier be sure that you will have a translator available to help you communicate with medical staff, or that they speak English. Almost all of them speak great English, but we are talking about surgery here. If you keep in mind these few precautions, you can be sure your trip will be a successful one.

Truth be told, I have never had cosmetic surgery in Thailand. When I go every few years, however, I do have a checkup, get my teeth cleaned and so on. The medical care is excellent and inexpensive. Oh, the beaches arent to bad either!

Herbal skin care

Skin care is not a topic of recent times; it has been in practice since ancient times, when herbal skin care was probably the only way to take care of skin. However, skin care has transformed in a big way. Herbal skin care routines have been replaced by synthetic/chemical-based skin care routines. The herbal skin care recipes which once used to be common place are not so popular today (and even unknown to a large population). This transformation from herbal skin care to synthetic, can probably be attributed to two things our laziness (or just the fast pace of lives) and the commercialisation of skin care. Even herbal skin care products have been commercialised. These commercial herbal skin care products have to be mixed with preservatives in order to increase their shelf-life, hence making them less effective than the fresh ones made at home. However, it seems that things are changing fast and more people are now opting for natural and herbal skin care routines. But still, none want to make them at home and hence the commercial market of herbal skin care products is on the rise.

So what are these herbs or herbal skin care mechanisms?

Aloe vera, which is an extract from Aloe plant, is one of the best examples of herbal skin care product. Freshly extracted aloe vera is a natural hydrant that helps in soothing skin. It also helps in healing cuts and treating sun burns.

A number of herbs are known to possess cleansing properties. Dandelion, chamomile, lime flowers and rosemary herbs, are a few examples of such cleansers. Their herbal skin care properties get invoked when they are combined with other herbs like tea.

Antiseptics are another important part of Herbal skin care. Lavender, marigold, thyme and fennel are good examples of herbs that are known to possess antiseptic properties. Lavender water and rose water also form good toners.

Tea plays an important part in herbal skin care. Tea extracts are used for treatment of skin that has been damaged by UV radiation.

Oils prepared from herbal extracts present another means of herbal skin care. Tea tree oil, Lavender oil, borage oil and primrose oil are some popular oils used in herbal skin care. Some fruit oils (e.g. extracts from fruits like banana, apple and melon) find use in shower gels (as a hydrating mix)

Homeopathic treatments and aromatherapies also come under the umbrella of herbal skin care remedies.

Herbal skin care is good not only for the routine nourishing of skin but also for treatment of skin disorders like eczema and psorasis. Most herbal skin care products dont have any side effects (the most important reason for preferring them over synthetic products) Moreover, herbal skin care products can be easily made at home, hence making them even more attractive. So, herbal skin care is the way to go. However, this does not mean that you totally discard the synthetic products. Some people go to the extent of debating with their dermatologist, if he/she suggests a synthetic product. You should accept the fact that some skin orders might need usage of clinically proven non-herbal skin care products.

Many skin care tips and articles.

What's in Lipstick?

What's in Lipstick?

Recently, I figured out that if I applied lipstick that my face would grow to two times its regular size. If I wiped off the lipstick, I could get my head back almost into its regular shape. I didn't have a lot of time to figure out what was in lipstick but I put it down to fragrance and some of the others on the ingredient list.

One day I was so tired of not wearing lipstick that I went to a drugstore to find out. I took my small daughter. Within a couple of minutes of being in the make-up aisle, my daughter started to have her head grow to twice its regular size and she didn't even have lipstick on. I went over to the counter and asked the girl, what was in lipstick and make-up to make both myself and my daughter have allergic reactions? I was still at that point considering that maybe a certain brand wouldn't have whatever the ingredient was in it.

She smiled at me, started to show me the book of ingredients that nobody can truly read without a dictionary and then she looked from me to my daughter and finally said, "The shimmer in lipstick is from ground up fish and shellfish. It doesn't come out and say that on the lipstick ingredients."

I nearly fainted. I couldn't believe that something that people have as an anaphalaxis type allergy is not marked on all of the make-up.

Still, I perservered. "What kind doesn't have it in it?" I asked, assuming that one of the thirty brands would give me a break.

"None of them," she assured me. "It's not marked down anyway. There's a big word for it."

"What about lip gloss?" I asked.

"No," she said. "Whale blubber. Sorry. Allergy medicine is in aisle five."

So, off we went to go get some medicine and some fresh air. This news sent me realing. Why isn't this in the media? Why doesn't anyone know about what is in lipstick and lots of other kinds of make-up? I realized too that potentially all kinds of men and owmen do not know about the risks involved in simply freshening up their lips. I mention men because of the kissability factor.

I went onto talk to friends and relatives. Did you know...? Nobody did. I only recently met someone who had an inkling of what I was talking about. Her dad worked in a lipstick factory all of his working career.

Unless a make-up line specifically says that it does not have animal byproducts in it, then the shimmer is most likely caused by ground up fish and seafood. Not that they're apparently aiming to include the seafood but much like the tuna caught in a big net with other creatures of the sea, same problem.

For those of you who have allergies, seek out cosmetic companies such as Mary Kaye who do have that guarantee. There are several other lines that will promise this no animal byproducts such as Body Shop. Remember that while you may not have this allergy yourself, your child could have this allergy, your husband, boyfriend or your co-workers.

With so many people wanting a great tan without exposing themselves to the many dangers of UV rays, science has developed new ways to get your suntan without exposure to the harmful UV rays of the sun. It wasn't long ago when many people considered indoor tanning beds a safer alternative to traditional sunbathing, we all know now that these too can cause serious damage to your skin. Sunless tanning lotions and creams have now become a popular alternative to give you that golden tan without damaging your skin.

Sunless tanning is growing in popularity and is one that health-conscious people as well as doctors can agree on. Your fake tan or tan in a bottle can save your life. You are avoiding skin cancer from harmful UV rays. You will also look better as you age because your sunless tan requires no exposure to UV rays which are known to accelerate wrinkles and aging.

Sunless tanning products are designed to be easy to apply although it may sometimes be a little time-consuming. If you do it regularly, you will find that it gets faster and easier. The tan lasts for about 8 or 9 days with most porducts, and you will have to reapply to maintain a tan. While it may seem like a lot of trouble, it is well worth it to protect your skin and your health. If a tan is really that important to you but you dont want to increase your risk of sun damage, then you should not mind taking the extra time to apply sunless tanners.

If you havent tried sunless tanning lotions recently, you may not know how improved and advanced they have become. You no longer have to worry about turning yourself orange or looking like you need to bathe. Spotty, splotchy and orange sunless tanners are a thing of the past. Sunless tanners take about 3 to 4 hours to start developing and will reach peak coloration 24 hours after application. You get a great golden tan that appears natural as well. If you do use the tanning bed occasionally, you can use the sunless tanning products to maintain that tan so you spend less time in the damaging rays.

Sunless tanning is a great option for people who cannot tan in traditional sun UV rays. For example, people with fair skin, freckles, red hair or very light blonde hair can have difficulty tanning in natural sunlight. You should also avoid it if you have had sun damage in the past, a family history of skin cancer, are taking medications that increase your sensitivity to the sun and for several other reasons. Sunless tanners let these people get the look they want with no risk to their health.

The most important benefits to sunless tanning are the health benefits. It is a fact that exposure to UV rays causes skin cancer and creates signs of early aging with wrinkles and sun spots. Most people who are concerned with their looks enough to want a great tan will also be concerned about not getting early wrinkles and other signs of aging. Sunless tanning products are a great alternative to tanning beds and can help to maintain the look of a a healthy tanned appearance year-round without the associated risks and aging effects.
