Simple Holiday Look --- Make it Red

Dress up the tree. Dress up the house. Dress up yourself. If you ever were afraid of passionate true red lips the holidays are the time to jump in and test the water. Red lips are perfect for holidays. There is something definitely passionate about red lips.

You will not be out of place this time of year when you adorn your lips with true red color. You may be amazed at the results. Just keep a few things in mind.

Use a lip liner first and if you would like the look to last the longest -- dont just outline, fill entire lip area with liner pencil before adding your favorite lipstick. Top off with a gloss for extra special look. Your shine will be brighter than the Christmas tree.

If you are highlighting your look with red lips then downplay the rest of your face. Your eye makeup should not compete. Still you can achieve a nice look with neutral colors which have a bit of shimmer.

You can quickly put the look together by first cleansing your face with a cleanser/toner in one product. Applying a moisturizer (with sunscreen for daytime). Apply foundation (matched to your skin tone) using a cosmetic sponge for even tone. Touch up uneven skin tones with a cover stick. Outline or fill lips with true red lip liner, then fill with lipstick. Cover entire eye area from lid to eyebrow from corner to corner with a light neutral color. Add a darker neutral color to lid area. Use separate darker color on outer edge of eye in a sideways > shape . One part of V will line the eye above lashes (halfway across) and other side of V should be in crease of lid. Smudge this V with q-tip. Use a matching darker or black eyeliner. Use mascara of choice. Use makeup brush to apply powder (matching skin tone) to finish and hold look. Brush with light, downward strokes. Brush your eyebrows upward and outward. Add a brow color lightly to define. You can add another layer of mascara now if desired. And gloss on lips if desired.

Dont forget to add the holiday red look on your nails as well.

Keep your wardrobe simple when using red lipstick. Remember you are highlighting your face not elaborate prints nor fashion designs. Use accessories that draw attention to your face.

Are Your Yellow Teeth Making a Lasting Impression About You?

Whether it is to improve self esteem, make you look more attractive to others or simply to keep up with the Jones's, teeth whitening is certainly all the craze today. Movie stars have sparkling white teeth; many reality stars have them and so do virtually all television personalities (news, sportscaster's, talk show hosts and so on). Like those waif-looking beauties strutting down the modeling runways, these enamel glistening posers must all be seeing the dentist to the stars, or are they? I mean who has such perfect teeth? Hollywood stars are known for their cigarette smoking, coffee drinking and of course, frequent visits to rehab. Don't all of these things stain their teeth?

Sure they do, but they also sought professional dental help to restore their pearly whites to their natural shine. These celebrities do not rely on the over-the-counter remedies we all see on TV and in the grocery store. They get theirs done right by a professional.
We too all want glistening white teeth but many of us don't feel like bothering with the process, are deterred by the cost or simply don't know how to go about realizing the best results. But one thing is for sure...beautifully white teeth will make us feel better and look better. There is no doubt about it.

Graying or yellowing teeth are the result of damage to the pigmentation of your teeth. With the proper treatment, you can restore your teeth to their natural shine but you must first choose the process that is best for you.

The two most effective approaches to teeth whitening are in-office laser treatment and at-home teeth whitening with custom-fit trays designed by your dentist. Most over the counter remedies will work to some degree but will not guarantee the same level of results these professional treatments will. Over-the-counter approaches will likely lighten your teeth by three to five shades while professional treatments will improve pigmentation by 10 shades or more.

A good ballpark price range for the in-office laser treatment is somewhere between $400-$900 for both the top and bottom teeth. However, in many cases, more than one treatment will be necessary for the best results and your dentist may recommend you follow up this treatment with a custom-tray at-home remedy prescribed by them. This will obviously add more cost to your bottom line.

Putting the premium pricing aside, the biggest advantage to professional treatments is the immediacy and duration of the effect. With the laser treatment, you will see full results as soon as the procedure is finished, and with at-home custom-fit trays, your dentist has given you professional-grade bleaching gel to keep your teeth white for a long time to come. Tre White by Opalescence, is a professional whitening kit that has pre filled disposable trays worn for 30-60 minutes once a day. You'll see results in 5 to 10 days. It's available at www.cleure.com .

While teeth whitening may or may not be something you are considering right now, some things are for sure when you do decide to take the plunge:

You will feel more confident
You will look more attractive
People won't be turned off by your graying/yellowing smile any longer

The approach is much cheaper and less intrusive than other cosmetic surgeries like liposuction, face lifts and tummy tucks

There is no pain involved

It is completely safe

The best thing for you to do if you are considering brightening your teeth is to speak with your dentist who will discuss the best treatments for you.
If you do make the choice to whiten your teeth with Tre White, we would love it if you would send us some before and after pictures so we can showcase them on our site.

Guide to Skin Care

Winter is the time of year when our skin often gets dry. The trip down the isle for a moisturizer can prove daunting. There are skin moisturizer products ranging in price from $2 to $200. Can a $200 moisturizer really be a hundred times better then the $2 moisturizer? The key is to find a product that feels good and works on your skin.

If you have sensitive skin, you will want a fragrance-free moisturizer because perfumes can irritate the skin. The Cetaphil products are good because they are reasonably priced and fragrance free. The Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion ($9.99 for 16 ounces) is a good for all around use and most people are happy with it.

For an even less expensive product, try regular old petroleum jelly ($2.00 for 10 ounces) or mineral oil ($3.99 for 16 ounces). Both are very good for holding moisture in the skin. If you do not like the way they feel on your skin, use a small amount. For the lips, try Chap Stick ($1.29 for .15 ounces) or Carmex ($1.29 for .3 ounces). For the face, I would recommend Cetaphil Daily Facial Moisturizer with SPF 15 ($10.99 for 4 ounces). It feels less greasy on the skin and has the added sun protection.

Dry hands are the most common problem. The best and least expensive moisturizer is still the old reliable petroleum jelly. If you dont like the feel, try Neutrogena Hand Cream ($3.49 for 2 ounces).

There are a couple of things you can do to avoid dry skin. Take shorter showers with warm, not hot, water. The hot water removes protective oils from the skin. Use a mild soap and apply moisturizer within five minute of getting out of the shower. If you have persistent dry, itchy skin that you cannot resolve with over-the-counter moisturizer creams, you may have a more pressing problem. If your skin problem is causing you lack of sleep or is troublesome for more than one week, its a good idea to see a doctor.

How To Use Color Correction Techniques Like The Pros

Almost everyone has a home color disaster or two lurking somewhere in their past. While color disasters are correctible and not the end of the world by any means, many people only cause more problems when they try to correct their color. Then, ball cap in place and tears in their eyes, they march to the salon only to pay big bucks to fix a problem that could have been prevented in the first place.

One of the most common mistakes made by people who color their hair at home is to make the problem worse by applying the wrong color to correct their first mistake. For example: Have you ever colored your hair and ended up with a color that is too red or brassy? To correct this problem, many people try to pull the red color out by lightening their hair. This only causes more problems and more brassiness. Other people try to darken their hair again only to have it turn too dark. Both of these approaches are wrong and you will understand why with a quick course in color correction.

Have you ever seen a color wheel used by painters? It looks like a wheel with a different color between the spokes of the wheel. You can create your own basic color wheel by taking the primary colors, red, blue and yellow, and positioning those colors equal distances around a wheel or circle. Next, take the spaces between the primary colors to list the colors that are made when the two colors next to each other are blended. For example: yellow and blue make green.

Once you have done this you can easily correct color that is too red or too green. All you have to do is look at your color wheel. If your hair is orange, look at the orange space on your color wheel. Then, look directly on the opposite side. What color is there? It should be blue. Colors with a blue base are considered beige colors. So, to counteract or cancel the orange color, you need to choose a color with a beige base. You dont need to darken or lighten at all.

So, the next time you have a color dilemma, dont try to strip the problem out of your hair. Simply use your color wheel to cancel out the unwanted color. Doing so will save you a lot of time, heartache and money.

Teeth Bleaching Kits Provide a Whiter, Brighter Smile

So many people are embarrassed to let their smiles show. Bright smiles often become a memory of the past due to age, coffee, or tea. However, there are many solutions available today to bring back your pearly whites.

Here are several options for the person who wants to enjoy a whiter, brighter smile:

1. Laser teeth whitening is an option that has increased in popularity in recent years. One of the most popular options is the Zoom Teeth Whitening procedure, which can make your teeth up nine shades lighter. Laser teeth whitening can give you a brighter smile, but you can expect a fairly high price tag. This procedure can also be fairly time-consuming.

2. You could also get your teeth whitened professionally at the dentist. This option is costly and time-consuming as well.

3. Another option is to use whitening strips. One of the most popular options in this area are the Crest whitening strips. This can increase the lightness of your teeth by several shades. These have been found to be quite effective. They can be easily purchased at a pharmacy or drugstore and are worn up to twice a day for half an hour each time. This option is much more cost effecient. The only drawback that you might face with whitening strips is that they only whiten the teeth they are in direct contact with. Some people have found that the strips are not long enough to cover all they show when they smile. A tray based system will solve this problem by delivering whitener to all the teeth equally.

4. Whitening trays can be worn for up to several hours a day. This is a very successful method because the whitening gel is kept continually on the teeth. However, it is not used as much as the other options because it tends to interfere with daily life.

However, there are a variety of options to fit anyone's lifestyle.

Your smile is one of the first things people notice about you. You can now make it a lasting impression.

Collagen injections on the forefront of cosmetic plastic surgery

Cosmetic plastic surgery boosts your confidence the way you look. And increase in self-confidence in the look can encourage you to focus your energy on other areas like family and career. There may be certain flaws in your body and face that makeup, diet and exercise cant help mask. There you should look into the ultimate in makeover, i.e., cosmetic plastic surgery.
The advancement of corrective body and facial surgeries has made the cosmetic procedures easy, affordable and less invasive. This has led many to go for pure cosmetic procedures where aesthetic value comes first.
But, cosmetic procedures are not totally different from reconstructive procedures. Cosmetic surgery also considers your general health conditions and particular physical traits. Thats why you should not plunge into a procedure just for look alteration.

Of many cosmetic procedures collagen injection is a popular procedure embraced by many women to achieve that fuller and perfect lip, and to remove the facial wrinkles.

Collagen injections are all-purpose fillers to fix problems on the face. Collagen is filled into the areas that need plumping-up. For removal of wrinkles, scars, and different marks these are the most suitable stuffs. Collagen can add volume to face giving it smooth appearance.
We all have collagen, a kind of protein, between the skin and the underlying tissues. This collagen helps to build fascia, the network of fibers that gives skin its bounce, volume and softness. Thats why collagen injections are popular in celeb circles and administered as: collagen lip injection, facial collagen injections, buttock collagen injections and scar collagen injections.
Why do we need collagen injections?

Well, we have the collagen in our tissues. But its amount over ages goes on decrease after youth and the skin loses elasticity. Collagen injection helps replenish this condition. The idea behind injecting collagen is to replenish this underlying skin structure so that it regains its ability to bounce back. Collagen replacement therapy helps smooth facial lines as well as reduces the look of most types of scars. Taking a collagen injection is as easy as taking any other injection.

Rarely, it does involve some complications like bruising, redness and puffiness of skin. In severe cases, the collagen migrates to other parts of the body. But the complications can be avoided with proper consultation with a surgeon by doing collagen acceptance/rejection test in ones body.
What are different types of collagen?

Bovine collagen: Derived from the tissues of cow, the bovine collagen is very compatible with human skin. It has fewer cases of allergy and rejection. Zyderm is the most popular names in bovine collagen.

Human collagen: It comes from a human donor. Human skin readily accepts this. Zyderm and Zyplast and the two most popular human collagen.

Home Treatments for Spider Veins

NATURAL TREATMENTS FOR VARICOSE AND SPIDER VEINS

Varicose veins and telangiectasia (spider veins) are the visible signs of an underlying venous insufficiency problem, where venous blood escapes from the normal flow of blood into an already congested leg.

Spider Veins are a mild form of venous insufficiency, which are cosmetically unappealing, but generally not dangerous or health threatening.

Varicose Veins are a more serious form of venous insufficiency that can accompany other symptoms, including pain, soreness, burning, aching, throbbing, cramping, muscle fatigue, and restless legs. Over time, chronic venous insufficiency can lead to skin and soft tissue breakdown.

Venous insufficiency is caused by valves in the veins that have broken down. These valves prevent blood flow back to the arteries. If their integrity is compromiseD, blood can accumulate and collect. This condition in aggravated in people who are sedentary or obese and likewise aggravated by hormonal imbalances found in pregnancy or with the use of HRT and chemical birth control.

TREATING VENOUS INSUFFICIENCY

There are several extra steps you can take for the treatment of spider veins and varicose veins.

Nutrition: Several changes in diet can help with the appearance of spider and varicose veins. There are several herbs, listed below, that will keep blood thin and flowing smoothly. Also consider the nutrients required to keep veins and capillaries strong. Increasing your intake of monounsaturated and saturated fats can help. All cells replace themselves on a regular basis, including the cells in your circulatory system. A diet heavy in polyunsaturated fats is inadequate for tissue repair and can often excerbate the problem with an increase of free radicals. Your body requires cholesterol and saturated fats for the building of strong cell walls. If you have been eating mostly seed oils, your body is not getting the right kind of fats. Consider switching to olive oil for salad dressings and coconut oil and butter for cooking. Also, the dietary enzyme bromelain can improve overall circulation by reducing the build up of fibrin along the walls of the blood vessels. It is very inexpensive, and good for circulation disorders of all kinds.

Cleansing: When cleaning your skin, use your wash cloth or loufah to massage the area around the broken veins first in a circular motion and then in a brushing motion upwards towards the bowels. This will improve circulation.

Other Treatments:

 Dry Skin Brushing: Learn to dry brush your skin at least once per day. Skin brushing provides several benefits. First of all, it’s “exercise” for you skin and the underlying veins and capillaries. It stimulates the growth and repair of the tissues by increasing blood flow to the area. It also helps remove the blood that has leaked out from the capillaries by diffusing it into the interstitial fluids for removal. Dry brushing is good for you skin all over, but if you are suffering from spider or varicose veins, brushing these areas very gently in a circular motion and then upwards towards the colon, several times per day, can improve their appearance.

 Hormones: Spider veins are often associated with the use of HRT and birth control pills. High levels of estrogen from these medications seem to aggravate venous insufficiency. If you are using birth control pills for contraception, you may want to ask your doctor for a lower-estrogen dose formula. If you are on HRT, you may want to consider switching to a lower dose, adding progesterone, or using a weaker formula, such as an estrone cream.

 Habits: Do try to elevate your legs to hip level for a few minutes several times a day. Frequency is more important than the amount of time in this case. Get out of the habit of crossing your legs, knees and ankles as well. If you have a desk job, try to spend a few minutes walking every hour. If you have a job that requires standing, try to sit and elevate your feet to hip level once every hour.

Many of the nutrients and supplements listed below may be within your budget and available to add to your skin care regimen. Note that some are best used internally (like vitamins and minerals) and others are for topical application only.

Painful varicose veins should always be evaluated by your physician as they may require surgery. If you have asymptomatic varicose veins, it’s a good idea to tell your doctor during your regularly scheduled check up so she can be aware of any possible vascular disease or disorder.

Many new commercial cosmetic procedures are available for the reduction of spider veins and varicose veins, however many of them are simply not justifiable affordable for the average person. Even if such procedures are used, natural, inexpensive at-home treatments can increase the success of expensive procedures and prevent a future repeat of symptoms.

Green Tea and The "Asian Paradox"

Of all the controversial claims about green teas health benefits, the one that draws the most scepticism is the claim that it could be a cure for cancer. While it is almost certainly not a cure, however, many studies appear to show that lifelong green tea drinking does in fact reduce the risk of cancer in later life.

The biggest piece of evidence in support of this theory is known as the Asian paradox. The Asian paradox, according to researchers at Yale, is that Asia has very high levels of cigarette smoking, yet lower cancer rates than Europe or America. The researchers believe that the difference between the places lies in the Asians consumption of large amounts of green tea (over a litre a day on average).

Other studies have supported this view: one study comparing elderly Japanese people who drank green tea with ones who didnt found that the green tea drinkers tended to live a few years longer. Studies at Murcia University in Spain found that a chemical in green tea called EGCG is very similar to the cancer drug methotrexate, in that it appears to kill cancer cells in the same way. This is some of the most encouraging research yet, as methotrexate is a drug with many unpleasant side effects, and replacing it with green tea could work very well.

However, the unfortunate counterpoint to all this is that very large quantities of green tea have actually been found to cause cancer in lab rats, suggesting that too much green tea can be worse for you than none at all perhaps a similar effect to the one red wine has. The state of the research overall is inconclusive, as few drug companies are interested in funding studies into something that is seen as alternative medicine, the testing is left to interested but under-funded universities. Hopefully, over the next few decades, there will be more interest in investigating the health benefits of green tea, and we will finally get our answer.

Plus Size Clothing Tips & Tricks

fashion, clothes, beauty, style, clothing

Fashionistas come in all shapes and sizes. Girl, you are hot! Dont let those sickly anorexic models dictate what you can and can not wear! So take your confident self to the nearest boutique and purchase that cute outfit you were eyeballing!

The 15 minutes of fame for the flower printed muumuus and tent dresses are over! Its time to seek out your personal style and tell the world about it!

There are now many options for the voluptuous fashionista. The key to selecting a great outfit is putting together a great outfit sometimes risky but simple. Here are a few tips:

The most important tip is to buy clothes that fit. Dont wear a piece that shows bulges or rolls. This is unflattering.

KISS - Keep it simple sista! Dress in a single color. One color will help to de-emphasize problem areas by elongating your silhouette. If your skin tone looks great with pink, go for it!

Get vertical! Vertical strips create the illusion of a thinner you.

Wear heels. Wearing at least a 1 heel helps to elongate your legs making you look slimmer.

Dont wear low-rise anything! Very few people can pull this off correctly.

Compliment an outfit with a blazer and belt. Blazers and jackets help to make your waist look smaller. Blazers and cardigans should be long and left unbuttoned. Avoid cropped jackets which draw attention to your waist and butt.

To help elongate the neck, wear tops with an open neckline such as v-necks.

Stick with pants that have a slight flare at the bottom. The pencil thin pant leg emphasizes the butt.

One thing that is overlooked is the right bra. The correct fitted bra can actually make you look thinner.

Proportions are also important. An oversize handbag is a great accessory but a small handbag will make your figure appear larger.

So ladies, dont hide those gorgeous curves under dull, baggy clothes! Show off your curvy figure with your new style and flair.

Deception Wrinkle Cream !

New Cosmetic Product Makes Wrinkles Almost Invisible to the Naked Eye!

Watch this recent ABC News clip and see the results for yourself! An ndependent news organization persuaded two volunteers to try the product and tell them what they thought about it!

What's going on here?

Is this some kind of magic? No, -it's not magic. It's science which seems like magic. The main ingredient in Deception is made from something called "emu oil". I'll tell you about emu oil in a moment... but first... let me tell you what creates the "magic" effect.

This is the best triple-refined emu oil in the world. And, an extra ingredient is added to it while it is being made into a cream. This extra ingredient is a suspension of superfine silicon dioxide nanoprisms which has been "fractionated" instead of powderized. That means instead of turning into flakes when it is processed... it turns into...

Billions of Microscopic Three-Dimensional Nanoprisms!

So what?

Here's "so what." Almost nobody knows this... but... the human eye cannot see a wrinkle. What the eye sees is actually the shadow made by the wrinkle. And, since all those billions of microscopic nanoprisms refract light, when you use Deception...

There are No Shadows to See!

This effect will last until you wash your face and the invisible silicon dioxide is removed. And get this: Remember how I told you the main ingredient in this cosmetic cream is made from emu oil? Well, it turns out emu oil is probably the best cosmetic ingredient in the world. That's because its molecules are much smaller than the molecules in human skin. Because of this, emu oil can...

Penetrate Down Through Seven Layers of Human Skin!

This makes it the best moisturizer in the world.

And here's more good news! The reason you get wrinkles in the first place is, as you get older, you start losing the collagen in your skin. Can you guess what emu oil does?

The Top 10 Hair Removal Methods - Which is Right For You?

Do you have unwanted body hair? Are you trying to choose between hair removal methods? This guide contains all you need to decide. It details several popular as well as not-so-common methods of getting rid of unwanted hair, including shaving, plucking, waxing, sugar waxing, bleaching, threading, depilatories, electrolysis, laser, and vaniqa.

Shaving

Shaving is a temporary hair removal method. It is inexpensive, but for most people the hair has started to grow back by the following day. To prevent stubble, you must shave once or twice daily. Razors come in all varieties. They can be made of cheap plastic with a single blade which can be bought for a quarter, or a high quality electric version costing $50 or more.

Plucking

Another common hair removal method is plucking, or tweezing, the hair. While this method is time consuming, as you can only pluck one hair at a time, it is useful for smaller areas, such as an extra eyebrow hair or two. However, it can be painful, especially around the eyes, and can cause irritation and ingrown hairs. While it is a myth that by plucking a hair out by its root you are causing two to grow in its place, many women do not pluck their hair for this very reason. But investing in a $2 pair of tweezers is a lifesaver when you want to look perfect for that special occasion.

Waxing

For larger areas, many people prefer to use hot wax. The wax is applied to the skin with a piece of paper or cloth covering it. After the wax cools, the strip is ripped away, taking the hair with it. While this method is fast, it can also be painful. In addition, waxing removes the top layer of skin, and can cause rashes and redness. However, once you become good at the technique, it is an easy and inexpensive way to quickly get rid of unwanted hair at home. Kits can be purchased for $20-$40. You can also have your skin waxed by a professional. Depending on the area you are having waxed, this can cost from $20 to around $150.

Sugar Waxing

Sugar waxing is similar in method to traditional waxing, except that the "wax" is a sticky sugary paste. Sugaring is even less expensive, as home kits can be bought for as little as $10.

Bleaching

Rather than removing the hair, some women prefer to lighten it. This is especially common for women with facial hair. Bleaching is completely pain-free, and can be done at home. Most women do not have any skin reactions to the bleach; however, as with a hair dye, be sure to test first on a small, inconspicuous part of your skin, just in case the bleach does change your skin color or cause irritation.

Threading

Threading, also known as khite, is commonly practiced in the Middle East but much less well-known in the west. It is performed using a cotton thread. The thread is twisted, catching the hair, and is then pulled to remove it. The results are similar to plucking, but many more hairs can be removed at one time. Always use cotton so the fibers themselves do not irritate the skin.

Depilatories

Depilatories are creams that dissolve hair, allowing it to be wiped away. For some people, depilatories last no longer than shaving, while others are hair-free for several days. The process is not always painless, but is definitely less painful than waxing. The creams can be bought for a few dollars at any drug store.

Electrolysis

Electrolysis is a permanent hair removal method. A needle is placed in a hair follicle and electric current is delivered to the follicle. This damages the hair, and it does not return. This method works well for small localized areas of hair, but can be time consuming and costly for large patches, as each hair must be done individually. Also, if the needle is not inserted just right, the hair may need to be retreated, and often an area must be treated three to four times before the hair is permanently removed. While the needle should not puncture the skin, electrolysis can be painful. It is recommended that electrolysis be done by a professional; home treatment methods are difficult and generally unsuccessful.

Laser

Laser hair removal is another permanent hair removal method. It is a more recent method, and data as to its long-term effectiveness is still being gathered. Light from a laser is pointed at a small area of skin. The energy from the light is absorbed by the dark hair pigment, heating and damaging the follicle. This method does not work for white or grey hair or for people with dark skin and light hair. Because this method does not require each hair to be treated individually, this method is much quicker and less expensive for larger areas such as the legs as compared to electrolysis. If you are interested in laser hair removal, find a reputable professional. Laser hair removal can cause permanent skin damage if not performed properly. It can be painful, but as more research continues to be gathered, its looking more and more like a viable option for many people. The only place laser hair removal should not be performed is around the eyes, as it could cause permanent eye damage.

Vaniqa

Vaniqa is a cream designed specifically to target facial hair in women. It is intended to slow the growth of this hair, and is designed to be used with other nonpermanent methods of hair removal. It is available by prescription only, and has been shown to be effective in almost 60% of the patients in the trial. It is currently only for use by women over 12.

Remember when your mother always told you that you didn't really want to start shaving? But you insisted that you would want to continue for the rest of your life. However, for many women, unwanted hair causes major stress and discomfort everyday. You should now be able to more easily choose between the many hair removal methods and choose the one that is right for you.

So how do sunglasses work?

There are two reasons to wear sunglasses. The first reason is if you dont like the bright sun shining in your eyes, as the dark surface of the sunglasses helps to block out bright light and make the world appear darker. The second is that the suns ultraviolet rays can be harmful in the long term, causing all sorts of problems with your eyes including loss of eyesight and eye cancer. Good sunglasses protect against this, as their lenses filter out most of the harmful UV rays.

So how do sunglasses work? The darkening effect is a very simple one: looking at the world through tinted lenses makes it seem darker to you even though the effect is really just an optical illusion, it can help you if exposure to bright sunlight tends to give you a headache or cause you to squint.

The UV-filtering effect, however, is more complex. UV-filtering lenses are coated with special chemicals that allow light to pass through them, but reflect away UV. UV rays are basically high-frequency light waves, which means that the chemical structure has to be built to deflect higher frequency light while allowing through lower frequency light. This is difficult science, and the materials needed to do it are expensive.

The most complicated sunglasses of all are prescription sunglasses. These are sunglasses that not only protect from light and UV, but also work like normal glasses to correct your eyesight. For this to work, it requires that normal vision-correction glasses are taken, tinted and coated with UV-reflecting chemicals a complicated three-step process. However, all the ingredients work together flawlessly, to produce sunglasses that are wearable by people who need their vision corrected all the time. It is even possible to buy clear tinted lenses that fit over the top of your normal glasses, effectively a do-it-yourself way of making prescription sunglasses.

Factors in Deciding on Cosmetic Surgery

Various forms of cosmetic surgery exist today. All have the aim of altering the physical appearance of an individual. An implicit - sometimes explicit - part of this alteration, change or transformation is the individual's image of themselves as well; not only how they see themselves, but how they see themselves seen by the people around them. For this reason, there are two elements at stake in cosmetic surgery: the physical and the psychological.

Valid advertisements of cosmetic surgery do not represent themselves as the be all and end all. They allow the individual to understand that it's a complex process with many factors to consider. Even a simple goal like having a smoother stomach, can become complicated by the various procedures available. Even then, the range of techniques. In the end, a consultation is always recommended, with a review of the various options available. As well, the attendant risks. What follows is an attempt to acquaint the reader with some of the issues regarding the procedures available. It does not explore what - if any - legal restrictions there may be depending upon where the procedure is done. For example, in Canada, there are can be regulations regarding the use of silicone in prosthetic devices, namely breast implants. The reader should also try to acquaint themselves with whatever follow-up or check-ups are necessary after the fact.

General vs. local anesthetic

If a general anesthetic is used, it is usually performed in a hospital setting. There are certain risks associated with any kind of procedure involving a general anesthetic. Regardless, a hospital stay is normally required. In contrast, a local anesthetic usually carries fewer risks and hospitalization is not required.

In-patient vs. out-patient

For the in-patient, a hospital stay is in part meant to ensure that any potential complications that can arise from the procedure can be dealth with immediately. As well, the individual will likely require a certain amount of rest and recovery in a hospital setting. In contrast, the out-patient can go home after the procedure should no complications arise. Regardless, having a qualified physician performing the procedure in a sterile, controlled setting is critical.

The health of the individual

The individual should be in good general health. Procedures like liposuction and tummy tucks are not meant for the purpose of weight loss as much as what's known as body contouring. Also, pregnancy can be a factor in precluding one from most procedures.

What you should avoid

Smoking a few weeks before and after the procedure. This is because smoking affects the blood's circulation and can hamper the body's ability to heal.
Excessive exercise, dieting and heavy physical acitivity after the procedure. Again, this can affect the individual's ability to recover. The former two should also be avoided prior to the procedure.
Certain types of medication can also seriously affect your ability to recover. For example, anticoagulants should be avoided if undergoing liposuction.

Choosing & Applying The Perfect Make-up Foundation

Beautiful makeup requires the perfect make-up foundation.

Foundation creates a blank canvas on the face to which colors is added: eye shadow, blush & lipstick. It is also the setting agent. It is also the setting agent for these products acting as a barrier between the colour & the skin's own natural oils, which would otherwise dissolve the make-up. But because it covers the largest area of the face, foundation needs to blend seamlessly with the skin.
Makeup Foundations for differing Skin Types
Before buying new foundation there are two areas of concern that need to be addressed.
Firstly, the foundation must complement your skin type.

Oily Skin; For oily skin that is prone to shine, an oil-free formulation will hinder the production of excess oil, and most contain extra powder particles to dry any oil produced.

Normal Skin; Normal skin can take pretty much any formulation, but a liquid will give ample coverage without looking caked or heavy. Dry skin needs make-up foundation with extra moisturisers to keep it supple, and to prevent the skin from drinking in the makeup. A cream make-up formulation will last longer and also hydrate.
Foundation Colours
The best time to pick a colour is when your skin is at its most natural shade. So, after your holidays or morning after self tanning applications are not the best time. The best place to try make-up is on the jaw line.
Basically, foundation colour falls into two categories;
Foundation bases with yellow tones
Foundation bases with pick tones
The most common yellow-toned skin types are Asian, sallow and black skin, whereas fair skin has generally has pink tones. It is important to choose a foundation that matches your skin's base, otherwise the make-up will not blend well, no matter how you apply it.
Applying make-up foundations
Oily Skin; With oily skin, the application of oil-free formulas needs to be fast, as they dry speedily. Using clean fingers to apply small does to the areas most in need of coverage is the best way; simply do each area at a time until the face is complete.

Normal Skin; For normal skin, the choice of cream-to-powder liquid or powder foundation can change how much time you spend applying it. Cream-to-powder is best applied with a sponge, starting in the centre of the face and working outwards; its done in a matter of moments. Liquid foundation looks more natural applied with a foundation brush. Again work the brush outwards, taking care to use less around the eye area. Powder or mineral make-up foundation should be applied with a large powder brush; while it will not give the same level of coverage as a liquid, it is a great makeup for those who are pressed for time.

Dry Skin; For dry skin, cream foundation moves well around the face, and a little goes a long way. Dry skin tends to have few blemishes, so concentrate on areas that need coverage, and leave clear areas bare: this is why getting the right colour match is vital.

European Human Hair Wig - How Much Does It Really Cost?

I am sure you have wondered what the truth is about the prices of wigs made from European human hair. From shop to shop you will find a huge variation in prices - anywhere from 300 USD to as high as 10.000 USD (!). So let me take you through each step of the process of producing high quality handmade wigs, and show the real costs.

Firstly, take the acquisition of hair. The cost of hair for one wig (0,2 to 0,4 kg) varies from 30 to 40 USD throughout most Eastern European countries. There is little variation there, but an important additional cost is incurred by high-quality wig-makers who collect hair in an appropriate and well-controlled way. The best wig-makers visit hairdressers and care for the hair themselves, using no middleman. They do not buy hair from wholesalers because wholesalers blend hair, because it is so time-consuming to acquire really good hair. One simply has to find a girl among hairdresser's clients that has beautiful, healthy hair and who wants it cut. The hairdresser can offer a free service to such a girl and actually pay her for her hair - and clearly both sides benefit from such a transaction. But this shows that, by its very nature, acquisition of good-quality hair cannot be a simple large-scale automatic process. That explains why outside of Eastern Europe the price of acquiring good quality hair is skyrocketing - not because the hair in itself is expensive, but because of its rarity. It is difficult to imagine a large-scale cheap process of acquiring high quality human hair in European countries.

Second, take the other materials used in making wigs. These are not expensive and their costs do not exceed 50 USD for a typical wig. These are the materials used to produce a cap. More and more wig-makers are now buying ready-made caps, so called "monofilament", which are gaining popularity and their cost is not very high.

Third, take the labor involved in making high quality handmade wigs. This is the main cost factor. Handmade wig needs at least a week to be produced by an experienced expert worker. It takes a week of hard work, with each hair being knitted to the cap with a very small crochet-needle or glued with a special glue. In the case of long hair, the production time could be two to three weeks. Reliable wig-makers knit hair with a double-knot which makes the construction much more durable but needs some extra work-time. Depending on the type of wig, length of hair and type of cap the cost of labor is from 150 to 300 USD.

Finally, you cannot forget other typical business costs - investment's amortization, management costs, taxes, insurances, rent, and profit. Altogether, the price of a handmade human hair wig made from European hair cannot be lower than 500-600 USD even for the shortest hair. There is no upper limit and it only depends on how much a customer is willing to pay, but before you pay 1000 USD or more for your wig remember the real costs of its creation.

And now for a real mystery. Why are European human hair wigs not made in China where labor costs are much lower than in Poland, Russia, or the Czech Republic? The main reason is no good quality European human hair available in large enough quantities to make profitable large-scale production in China possible. This is because wig-makers in Eastern European countries are buying all of the available hair for their own production. Surprising? - but that is how it is. And that is why most of wigs produced in China are made of Asian hair or blended hair widely available on a wholesale market.

Indoor Tanning Tips And Trends

The process where skin pigmentation is darkened due to exposure to the ultraviolet light rays is known as "Tanning". The tanning process of skin is generally of two types. One is immediate tanning and the other is delayed tanning. The immediate tanning is caused by the Ultraviolet A (UVA) radiation of sunlight which appears just a short time after the sunbathing and usually lasts only a few hours or days. The delayed tanning is the response to the Ultraviolet B (UVB) radiation of sunlight and usually appears 2-3 days after the sunbathing and lasts longer with the natural renewal of skin. The intensity of the tanning varies as it depends upon the type of skin.

Indoor Tanning Process and Devices

Indoor tanning has become very popular and just like regular tanning should include indoor tanning lotion. A clamshell like tanning bed is used as the tanning salon equipment in most of the tanning bed salons. Customers have to lie down on a plexiglass surface where the tanning bed lamps from above and below reach the customers body. The latest high tech tanning beds are called stand up tanning beds and don't require a person to lay down on plexiglass.

Most of the older tanning devices used the light sources that emitted short wave Ultraviolet B rays. These UVB radiation actually caused a burning sensation, hence the need for tanning bed lotions. The salon owners began using the tanning beds that emit mostly long wave Ultraviolet A rays from the light sources as the UVB radiation has many harmful effects. The UVA rays cause less burning than the UVB rays.

The harmful side effects of Tanning

The indoor tanning is very much responsible for the damages of our skin because of the emitting of ultraviolet rays. When the skin produces an additional pigment to protect against burning from ultraviolet rays at that time the tanning occurs. Eye injury, skin rashes and even skin cancer might develop due to the overexposure to the UV rays.

The ultra violet radiations from the sun and tanning bed lamps are most widely known to be responsible for skin cancer. UV rays have been known to even damage the immune system causing premature aging or wrinkling of the skin.

Now a days public health experts and medical teams are warning people from the dangers of the ultraviolet rays of the sun and tanning bed lamps. The UVB ray is associated with sunburn and is considered a deeper penetrating ray. According to some scientists there may be an association between the UVA radiation and the malignant melanoma which is a very serious type of skin cancer of which case a health care provider may be needed.

Indoor tanning lotion sales have been skyrocketing but with continual warnings from government health officials we could begin to see a trend to the more natural skin color look. The advancement of tanning bed lotions and tanning salon equipment in recent years has made indoor tanning a regular activity for many. You might want to consider the long term effects compared to the short term gains before attempting continual tanning for yourself.

Many people use indoor tanning to better prepare their body for a vacation to a favorite hot spot. This is actually quite smart as it better prepares your body for the increased exposure and can avoid a sun burn that may ruin a perfectly good holiday.

Layman Guide To Cosmetic Surgery

Every one wants to be beautiful. If they are already beautiful, they want to become more beautiful. Increasing demand for perfect beauty and the advancement of technology in medicine had given birth to cosmetic surgery. Cosmetic surgery is a surgical method which enhances your physical appearance. It can be done either to correct your appearance which has undergone damage after an accident, or to simply enhance your facial and physical features, which tend to deteriorate with age.

Who uses Cosmetic surgery?
Just about anyone who wants to improve his/her look goes for cosmetic surgery. It is not limited to women. According to a survey 11% of men also opt for cosmetic surgery. It can be a painful and an expensive procedure. It is not covered under your insurance policy. Hence cosmetic surgery is considered to be the domain of the rich and famous.

Where can I get it done?
Check your local listings or ask your family physician for links to a good and reputed plastic or cosmetic surgeon. Always make sure that the surgeon is certified by either The American board of plastic surgery, or the American board of cosmetic surgery.

What do I need to go through?
Every one is scared of surgery. More so if it is done on your face area. Ask the doctor about the pros and cons involved in the procedure. Ask him his experience in the field. Every cosmetic surgery may have certain risks involved. It is always good to be clear about the entire procedure before you start.

Ask the doctor how long you need to be away from work, will it be painful, and about the best and worst case scenarios post cosmetic surgery. He may have an album displaying pictures of previous patients if they have given him permission to use it. Check the before and after pictures to give you a brief idea about how you may look post cosmetic surgery.

What it does not do?
Remember, getting a facelift or a nose job done does not change the person within you. You are still the same person from inside.

Dry Skin Care

Skin care at home, natural skin care, dry skin, care for dry skin

With too many roles for woman to juggle in todays fast paced, high pressured lifestyle, there is very little time for her to pamper herself.

With tension, worries, anxiety and age, the skin become less active leaving it drier, fragile, prone to wrinkle, lines near the eyes and mouth and losing the youthful colour and glow.

Failure of oil glands failing to release enough oils to moisturize and protect the skin results in dry skin. Environmental causes like dry air, harsh wind, hormonal imbalance, usage of aggressive chemicals, cosmetics or excessive bathing with harsh soaps saps the moisture from the skin making it dryer, flakier and chapped during winter.

Caring for Dry Skin

- Cleanse and Moisturize: The dry skin should be cleansed with a cold cream and alcohol-free skin fresheners to remove the cream. After cleansing, the skin needs a lubricating emollient or a moisturizer when the face is damp after the wash.

- Splash your face with cold water or gently wipe the skin with rose water to tone the skin nicely.

- Avoid using highly alkaline soaps and detergents like washing sodas and powders.

- Avoid the sun, harsh winds and hot baths. Use oil-based creams and make-up products only. Use soft towels or wash cloth to avoid irritation to the skin while wiping it.

- Smoking deprives the skin of oxygen and nutrients it needs for good health making the skin dry and leathery.

- Chapped or cracked skin - increase consumption of water. Keep chapped areas well lubricated and protected from the elements using a good nourishing cream or moisturizer.

- Use creamy, mild, pH-balanced products such moisture based cream gels, lotions, etc for dry skin care.

A well balanced diet of vegetables, fruits, grains, seeds and nuts provides the body with all the necessary vitamins and minerals needed for healthy skin. Drinking water and reducing solar exposure to a minimum is also beneficial. Garlic, onions, eggs and asparagus help to keep the skin smooth and youthful. Carrots, apricots, rich in vitamins A, C keep the skin supple. Increase intake of foods like leafy raw green veggies, dairy products like yoghurt, milk. Lessen fried foods, soft drinks, sugar, chocolates, junk foods, alcohol, caffeine and other foods that have diuretic effecting causing the body and skin to loose fluids, vitamins and essential minerals.

Benefits of All-Natural Indian Beauty Methods: Threading, Sugaring, Henna, Turmeric Treatment

India is a country known for its vibrant colors, rich culture, and timeless traditions. What many don't know, is that India has been at the center of all-natural beauty techniques that have been used for 100's of years. Below is an account of 4 of these traditional beauty methods, and their benefits.

Threading is a centuries-old technique of hair removal practiced in India, and rapidly growing in popularity across the United States. Being that it is 100% natural, it is especially recommended for sensitive skin. The beautician removes individual or rows of unwanted hair by using string or thread, and pulling out the hairs by the follicle. Threading is better than other methods of facial hair removal including waxing, tweezing, and razors. Waxing is not as precise; it burns, peels, and scars skin, and repeated waxing on the face (especially the eyebrow area) can cause premature wrinkles. Tweezing and razors often times cut the skin and cause ingrown hairs. Unlike all 3 of the mentioned methods, threading is precise, gentle on the skin, and is actually excellent for removing ingrown hairs.

Sugaring is an all-natural method of removing unwanted hair, much like waxing. The key ingredients in sugar wax are lemon and sugar, each of which have their own benefitting properties. Lemon is known for its naturally astringent qualities, and is an excellent cleansing agent. Sugar is a natural exfoliant in beauty, ridding the skin of dead cells. Most clients say that sugaring hurts less than traditional waxing, and redness if any, fades quickly. There are absolutely no chemicals in sugar wax, and is therefore ideal for sensitive skin.

Henna, also a centuries-old tradition in India, is used to create intricate hand art designs. The paste of a ground plant, naturally in a reddish-brown dye, is used to create temporary tattoos which last between 1-3 weeks. In India, henna has traditionally been used on women before special occassions, holidays, and weddings. In addition to using henna on the body (usually hands and feet), henna has also been used on the hair to color gray hairs to a reddish-brown, and to deeply condition non-gray hairs. It's an excellent alternate for pregnant women who would like to maintain their appearance, but cannot use the harsh chemicals found in mainstream hair coloring kits.
Turmeric is a yellow spice used in much of Indian cooking. It has also been used as a Ayurvedic beauty agent. Turmeric not only has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties, but also corrects hyperpigmentation and softens the skin. For these reasons, many Indian brides use a turmeric treatment to prepare for their wedding day - it leaves skin even-toned, shiny, soft, and supple.

Dental Veneers on the Cheap

In this day and age, more and more people are looking to spend less money on their cars, homes, and of course medical necessities. As such, they have been more meticulous in conducting research prior to shelling out any cash. While such meticulous research is recommended for almost all investments, it is very important that such research be conducted before going to a cosmetic dentist for dental veneers. As many of us know, veneers can easily be a very hefty investment.

Before you step your way into a cosmetic's dentist's office, it helps to know what exactly you want to correct. Many dentists will try to lure you into buying more than what you actually need. In the case of veneers, they will most likely try to convince you to get porcelain veneers - the most expensive veneers money can buy.

Common dental problems including tooth chips or gaps do not require the use of porcelain veneers to get fixed. While porcelain veneers certainly do sound lucrative, they should be used to mask other, more significant dental problems. A simple and cheap composite resin veneer can make you teeth look millions of times better at a reduced cost. Further, composite veneers only require one dental visit to be installed (as they require no lab wait).

If your dental issue requires you to get porcelain veneers, don't be fooled into getting more of your teeth done for a proper blend. A cosmetic dentist can make sure your dental veneers match the existing color of your teeth.

In conclusion, I would likely to caution you to be very careful when going in for a veneer procedure. You can easily be tricked into spending more money than a dental issue warrants. Be careful and enjoy your new smile!

Healthy, radiant, glowing skin is something every person wants. Yet, few of us even think to use what's really the best for out skin: natural skin care products.

Each year, millions of dollars are spent chasing after perfectly healthy, ageless skin. The environment, stress, and less than healthy eating habits, all play a major role in the quality of your skin.

The answers to achieving radiant, glowing complexion are within arm's reach. Many of the items in your kitchen right now can provide natural skin care that's even better thank those expensive, chemical filled products that cost an arm and a leg.

Skin Care Throughout Life

From the day we are born, our skin requires much care to remain smooth and healthy. It begins with soap to keep us clean. Then, there are creams, powders, and ointments to keep diaper rash from our bottoms. During the first few years of our lives, our skin will do well with soap for cleaning and the occasional lotion or cream for moisture. Then come the teen years. Our raging hormones bring out the oily skin, the pimples, and a host of other conditions.

It's important to understand that everything that comes in contact with our body affects our health and the condition of our skin. That's why choosing natural skin care products and ingredients is important. The liver filters the toxins and poisons from the food we eat, but whatever we place on our skin is directly absorbed. This includes deodorant, lotions, gels, cleansers, toners, make-up, perfumes, and more.

As we age, our skin becomes more sensitive, and we need to be even more careful with the beauty treatments we use.

Simple Solutions for Better Skin

Here are a just a few natural skin care solutions for you to try. You'll be very pleased with the results:

-once a week, rub your skin with baking soda while in the shower, for a smooth, silky feeling. You can also do this on your face to remove black heads.

-fresh tomatoes are great for the oily areas of your face. (Please make sure to try the tomato juice on your arm first, as your skin may be sensitive to it). Rinse thoroughly immediately after using the tomato juice.

-for a great moisturizer try olive oil: this healthy fat is good for you, and is great for your skin. You can also use it to soothe sunburned skin.

-vinegar can work wonders for smelly feet and armpits. Mix water and vinegar 50/50, and use in place of deodorant: it will keep the unpleasant sweat smell away, without any irritation. As for your feet, if you suffer with athlete's foot, a week of vinegar foot bath will help a lot, sometimes completely getting rid of your condition.

-egg yolk mixed with honey makes for a really great mask: put on your skin, leave it on for 20 minutes, and rinse off. Excellent for sensitive skin. Honey gives a tingling/ticklish sensation, so if you are sensitive to that, use the egg yolk alone.

-another use for egg yolk: for those with eczema, use it instead of soap. It doesn't smell great, but it will heal your damaged skin.

-a great treatment for dry skin is avocados: mash it, smooth it onto your face, and rinse off after 20 minutes.

Lastly, make sure you drink 8 glasses of water every day to keep your skin cared from the inside out.

Laser Hair Removal: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

You've probably heard about how lots of European women don't give a fig about underarm hair or hair on their legs. But many other women are not as accepting of body hair as their European counterparts. And throughout history, women have been employing various techniques to do this: from ancient Egyptian women's use of beeswax and sharp implements to eliminate leg hair up to the modern-day practices of waxing and the use of lasers to achieve a smooth and hairless complexion. Here, we'll take a quick look at some of the pros and cons of laser hair removal and whether it's the right path to take for a more hairless you.

Hair is removed via lasers in the following way: a series of low-level laser beams is targeted at hair follicles (or the root of the hair) in certain areas of the body. The hair then falls out and new growth is discouraged. Here are some of the reasons for the popularity of laser hair removal:

- Long-lasting results. The laser beams zoom in on hair follicles, either destroying them or significantly disabling them. Thus, hair is a lot slower to grow back and in some cases, they don't grow back altogether. And any hair that grows back tends to be finer, thinner, and less visible. Imagine the time savings you could realize. Finally, freedom from regular bikini waxes, leg-shaving, and facial hair-plucking!

- Broader and more convenient applications. Laser hair removal technologies and equipment have evolved in such a way that it is now possible to treat broad areas of the skin - such as the back and legs - in addition to localized areas like the skin above the upper lip and around the nipples. There is a wide variety of laser hair removal gadgets and equipment to suit individual cases.

- Increased safety regulations. Hair removal via laser is a process approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). So, the techniques used must meet stringent regulations. In addition, individual states themselves are issuing criteria that laser hair removal cosmeticians must comply with in order to practice their trade .

Laser hair removal may seem like a godsend to many a woman, but she would do well to remember that it is not a "one-size-fits-all" sort of technology. Like most other cosmetic procedures today, it does have its disadvantages, the following of which are just a few.

- Slower results for dark-skinned or tanned women. Laser hair removal procedures are most suitable for individuals with light-colored skin and dark hair because the laser beam targets dark material. Dark skin pigmentation can prevent lasers from reaching the hair follicles more rapidly. Evidence also shows that the lighter a woman's hair color, the less efficient the technology is in eliminating those problem hairs.

- Laser hair removal treatment costs. It takes several sessions to rid a body part of hair, and each session costs on average $300 up to $1,000. It really depends on how much hair needs to be removed and the type of lasers used. Some clinics' laser hair removal prices are calculated on a "per-pulse" basis and several hundred laser pulses may be needed to remove hair in just one area. Also, because hair grows in cycles, it's almost a sure bet that repeat sessions will be needed to ensure that all unwanted hair is removed - which translates to more cash out of your pocket.

- Potential side effects or no effect at all. All cosmetic procedures carry a risk of adverse effects, and laser hair removal is no exception. Patients have complained of first- and second-degree burns, blisters, and lesions. Others have noted that patterns of hair regrowth are patchy and unpleasant to look at. And still others have inexplicably experienced insignificant or no hair loss at all, despite their being ideal candidates for the procedure.

Laser hair removal is just one of the wonders of modern dermatology, technology that can make a woman look more beautiful in the shortest amount of time and in the safest way possible. Although procedures like this are constantly changing and improving, you shouldn't just rush blindly into it. It's important to consult your dermatologist and conduct your own research to determine whether you'll be getting the maximum benefits that medical laser techniques can offer.

Want To Get That Tattoo Removed?

People get tattoos for any reason, and sometimes for no reason. We get tattoos express your love, to express ones own self, as a fan or admirer of some idol, under peer pressure, to be up with the Joneses or maybe just because its hip to get one.

Whatever the case is, many of us in adult life end up regretting this youthful adventure. It could be because the tattoo reminds you of a broken love relationship or may be that visible tattoo is coming in your way of getting good job or joining a coveted university. In other words, you desperately need to get it out of your way, but the very memory of the painful procedure you went through to get it done gives you cold feet.

There are several ways a person can undo a tattoo or at least make it less visible. All, barring one, are very painful and cumbersome. But before discussing ways to remove tattoos, lets first understand what is a tattoo.

What is a Tattoo

A tattoo, or dermal pigmentation, as the term self explains is a mark made on the skin by inserting pigment into the skin. It is accomplished by injecting this pigment into small deep holes made in the skin. Tattoos made this way are relatively permanent.

Apart from permanent tattoos there are also temporary tattoos. They are more like body sticker, similar to a decal. Temporary tattoos are made on the skin by transferring the design on the skin, rather than inside the skin, using water. Temporary tattoos are waterproof, but can be removed with oil-based creams, and are intended to last only a few days.

Methods of Tattoo Removal

There are several methods of tattoo removal available today showing variable performance, result wise and procedure wise. It is the size of the tattoo, its location, and the length of time it has been on the skin which make the physician decide upon the method to be used. The patients healing prowess also plays its part in deciding the method to be used.

Lets now discuss the methods.

Surgical Method

It is one of the most popular methods around, especially when the dyed area is small. The major advantage here is the removal of the entire tattoo in one go, particularly if it is small tattoo. Larger tattoos, however, require multiple surgical sessions where the centre of a tattoo is removed first followed by removal of sides at a later date.

The surgical removal process involves an injection of a local anesthetic to numb the area after which the tattoo is removed. The edges are then brought together and sutured.

With this procedure, there is minimal bleeding which is easily controlled with electrocautery. In some cases involving large tattoos, a skin graft taken from another part of the body may be necessary.

Rubbing the tattoo off

In this method, the tattoo is literally scrapped off. It is quite painful and cumbersome procedure but practiced nonetheless. There are two ways by which a tattoo is rubbed off the skin:

Dermabrasion

This procedure of tattoo removal involves spraying of a portion of the tattoo with a freezing solution, after which that part is sanded with a rotary abrasive instrument causing the skin to peel. Because some bleeding is bound to occur, a dressing is immediately applied to the area.

Salabrasion

This is an age old method of tattoo removal. As with the other methods, a local anesthetic is used on and around the tattooed area after which a solution of ordinary tap water dipped in table salt is applied. An abrading apparatus such as the one used with dermabrasion, or an even simpler device such as a wooden block wrapped in gauze, is used to vigorously abrade the area. When the area becomes deep red in color, a dressing is applied.

Laser

Laser tattoo removal is considered as the best of the solutions available. Though it is costly and might require multiple sessions, it ensures that tattoo removal is relatively pain free and blood free. Also the results have been quite encouraging and tattoos have been either totally removed or there were dramatic fading.

Laser tattoo removal procedure involves exposing the tattoo to the pulses of light from the laser, usually Q-switched Nd:Yag, Q-switched Alexandrite and the Q-switched Ruby. This exposure breaks up the tattoo pigment, which are removed from the body by the scavenger cells. More than one treatment is usually necessary to remove the entire tattoo.

Eternity Bands Do Last Forever

Eternity bands are a classy and stylish innovation to storm the market. These are often gifted for a marriage anniversary or at the time of giving birth to a child. These eternity bands need no occasion to be gifted and can be given as gifts whenever one wishes to.

Eternity bands are also known as the wedding bands. They are lined with diamonds and look like precious gemstones in a circle. The circular loop of diamonds signifies eternal and unending love. This sentiment is what makes the eternity band a perfect gift for couples on special occasions, such as anniversaries, childbirth or anything that makes a difference to their life.

These eternity bands are simple, thus they dont come in as many varieties as the wedding rings, but there are styles available to suit individual tastes. There are full eternity bands and half bands. The full band has gems throughout the circle of the eternity band, whereas the half circle band has stones concentrated only in the center. The half bands can be resized when needed because they are not completely filled with gemstones. However, the advantage with the full eternity band is that, even when it rotates, the gemstones are displayed and look good.

Although diamonds are the hot favorites to be used in the eternity bands, there is a good amount of popularity of eternity bands with other gemstones like rubies, sapphires, emeralds etc. combined with diamonds in an array of designs. To make these eternity bands more special, you can use fit your birthstone into the band or your lucky stone.

Women sometimes replace their wedding or engagement rings with the eternity band, so that they dont have to wear three rings, but it is a personal choice and if a woman wishes to keep all three, they would certainly look good if they are a good combination. Just make sure the eternity bands are handled carefully, as they are delicate. Let them not be scratched and dont wear them when using harsh chemicals or using water. It is better not to use them when doing housework.

The cost of the eternity bands differs depends on what you are looking for. There are some that you can find for just a few hundred dollars and there are eternity bands that cost thousands of dollars. The pricing depends on the metal used, the diamonds used, the size of the stones, the number of diamonds or gemstones used.
In fact there are several factors that determine the price of an eternity band. Rest assured, there are eternity bands available to meet all budgets.

The eternity band will make a beautiful and meaningful gift to the person you love, to the person with whom you wish to celebrate the rest of your life. The meaning behind an eternity band is such that it is the ultimate way of proclaiming love and companionship.

Sexy Beauty Secrets for A Fraction of Salon Prices

Probably bigger than her car, what do you think is the biggest outlay of every modern woman? Yes youve guessed it. Health and Beauty products. Not that men dont have fingernails and toenails, hair all over their head (mostly), diet weight control issues, confidence issues, because they do its just that men seem better at burying their heads in the sand and hoping the problems go away. They definitely do not seem keen on being seen having manicures, pedicures, facials, and such (even though they may secretly desire to have such pampering, their so-called masculinity inhibits them).

For a man, all I can say is thank goodness most women dont have this problem, and do their level best to bring out their natural inner beauty to brighten up everybodys lives, even though they normally do it by spending a fortune in health and beauty stores, health and beauty magazines, and usually quite expensive health and beauty treatments. Even when it comes to the hairdresser, a man will baulk at paying peanuts for a trim, where a woman may spend nearly a weeks wages at her favorite hairdresser.

However, there is really no need for such fortunes to be paid over to hairdressers, health and beauty stores, expensive health and beauty magazines, even expensive diet weight control systems, to achieve this exterior beauty that really comes from within every person.

So many of the things can be achieved from the comfort of your own home, using health and beauty products, simple home recipes, so that even usually expensive treatments can be complimented at home.

But with all of these treatments comes a by-product that is virtually priceless, and really explains why such fortunes are handed over every day to the professionals in these expensive salons. With such treatments comes that inner confidence that is born within us all, but is so easily suppressed by the stresses and strains of every day living.

For instance, do you remember the last time you were in the checkout line at your local supermarket, and there was a baby in its cart just in front of you, and it laid there looking at you, with a smile bubbling over with its sparkling little eyes as if they had always known you? How does that make you feel? You simply cant resist smiling back, and even pass the time in the queue talking to them.

Now apply the same technique to adults. If an adult has the inner confidence so that they could smile at you with sparkling eyes, how would that affect you? It would almost certainly push your confidence though the roof, and with any luck, you would do the same to the next person you met.

But you are right not everybody can afford to indulge in the wide range of beauty treatments, dietary and weight loss control, exercise regimes that are probably necessary for anybody to achieve this all-round sense of well-being and confidence.

So, we all need to define the main areas that our bodies (and our minds) need a bit of Tender Loving Care (TLC to you), and whether you are male or female, these are the most common areas that demand our attention (and usually our money).

Skin Care Tips including skin treatments, acne, foot care, and tanning.
Hair Care Tips more for women than men, but even they suffer from dry or oily hair and dandruff from time to time.
Make-up tips really the province of women, as the men luckily dont usually have to pay out fortunes in make up ( or Oh yes they do actually - on their loved ones)
Exercise getting motivated here to start, and then continue, is so important for building up everybodys self esteem, and their health.
Nutrition and Self Help we really all need to understand the maxim what we are is what we eat and if you eat junk food what does that make you?
Weight Loss control what is the biggest killer and destroyer of lifestyle in Western society, but obesity and its side effect diabetes.

Now, anyone of us could quite easily march into a number of expensive salons, select a personal assistant, and get all of these quite necessary pamperings provided on a plate, but we would have to work a darned sight harder and longer to be able to afford them.

So, what do we do? We know we need something like this to survive the stresses and strains of the modern world, but many of us just can not justify the expense.

Having searched for many years for ideal solutions to all of these above issues, with the massive onset of the internet as an information provider, there are many low cost solutions available, that wont cost you an arm and a leg, but if searched for and built into your everyday routine, can give you the inner confidence to enable you to build a happy, confident lifestyle, so you become one of these people that spread a little happiness by radiating confidence and external beauty, without having to step over the threshold of many an expensive hairdressers or beauty salon.

You never know, you could always save a great deal of money, and donate it to your favorite charity.

Wow! Would that help boost your confidence, or what?

Simple Methods of Creating Perfect Sedu Hairstyle

Hair is one of the most important things about you. It is the first thing other people pay attention to. Even your image depends on your hairstyle and healthy look of your hair. Your hair is also the first to response to any health problems. Thats why you should reply to the hair problems at hand as quickly as possible. When you lack time for yourself, it is clearly obvious. However, if you treat your hair with care, it pays you back constantly by attracting attention.

So, if you want to impress, attract, or sedu someone, first thing you should do is to ensure that your hair is in the best condition possible. Sedu hairstyle depends on such things as clean and healthy hair, proper hair color, neat and suitable hairstyle.

Some of us usually miss one or even two of these stages; hence the result leaves much to be desired. But the good news is that you can fix any mistake and solve any problem as long as you have decided to do it.

Here are some smart tips that you can easily apply to make your hair seductive. I personally selected them among the top pieces of advice as the best suitable for self application.

Tip #1 Keep you hair clean

Cleanness of hair is vital for the sedu image because wearing neat and accurate hair you show your style and chic. Have you ever seen a stylish person with filthy hair? Of course, no. Since chic is a sign of personal care and a symbol of self-respect. So, to achieve a stylish and smart image, stick to the following points.

First thing is to decide on the type of your hair. It means to get to know whether you have dry, normal, greasy, or mixed, namely dry tips and greasy roots, type of hair.

Next thing is to choose the most suitable shampoo for your hair, and to wash it with frequency, which suits you the best. I advice to wash dry hair once a week, to look after normal hair twice a week, and to pay a very close attention to the greasy hair, which needs cleaning every day.

Dont forget about the conditioner. It is vital to keep your hair smooth. Try to have conditioner and shampoo of the same brand. The point is that the products of the same brand are made of the similar ingredients; hence in combination they will suit your type of hair perfectly, as they wont contradict one another, or play funny experiments on your hair.

Now, that we have clean hair, we may think about the hair health.

Tip #2 Remember that the health is the key to success

If your hair is damaged by some misfortune or is simply in a poor condition of health, you need to pay more attention to its care. Remember that healthy hair can be very easily styled, and it never fails to be arranged in the way you want.

So, we proceed to the stage of health.

First, you should remember to trim the hair tips every six weeks. There is no sedu image with the split ends. Moreover, split ends cant be cured or revived. The only way to help your hair to be split-free is to cut those ends.

Also if your hair is heavily damaged by coloring, blow-drying, or styling products, try to cut it short and regrow. New hair will grow healthy and smooth without any signs of previous damage.

You can, of course, grow your hair artificially if you like, but mind that it is the same as styling products. Dont overuse it. Moreover, artificial is always different from the natural, and the difference is not for good normally.

Tip #3 Reveal your secret passion and ability to seduce with new hair color

Coloring is vitally important, when your sedu image lacks brightness. The result of the properly selected color is remarkable. You enlighten your face, show your inner flame and passion.

Surely coloring with the chemical dyes may be harmful, but as long as you use special shampoos, conditioners, hair masks, and serums for the dyed hair the harm is minimal.

There are masks and serums that create a film over every hair, thus protecting your fragile dyed hair from the outside damage, shampoos, and conditioners that revitalize the color and moisturize the roots and ends. Try to mix them, so that you have overall protection.

Only remember that producer should be one and the same for all the hair care products. If you choose to change your hair care products, you will need to change the whole set of products so that you do not harm your hair. So, choose carefully from the first time, because greedy men pay twice.

Tip #4 Correct drying and brushing lead to perfect styling

Drying and brushing are the preparatory steps to styling. After you wash and nourish your hair, you are ready to style it. So, be careful with drying and brushing in order not to spoil the general effect of your new Sedu hairstyle.

First, dont overuse blow dryer, it usually overdries your scalp and overheat your hair. When blowdrying use the coolest set possible, and try to air dry your hair at least once or twice a week.

Dont brush your hair, when its wet, because it causes serious damage. Use soft brushes made of natural materials for styling, and massage brushes to comb your hair before going to bed.

I know some people believe that the less you brush your hair the better it is, but this approach is wrong. When you comb your hair, you straighten it, move natural grease from the roots to the ends, leaving your hair naturally moisturized. You also make sure that it is freeze free before applying styling products.

Tip #5 Finishing touch-ups for you Sedu hairstyle

Now that you have your hair clean, nourished, and dry, we can move on to the last stage in the process of creating Sedu hairstyle. It includes such points as straight hair and new haircut.

Overall, blow or air drying and brushing are the finishing steps of styling hair image for most people. But if you want to have Sedu hairstyle you need to do several touch-ups.

First, Sedu hairstyle is straight hair style. So, you can have straight hair harnessing such methods: natural straightness, chemical straightness, and heat straightness.

The best option apart from natural straightness, of course, is the heat straightening. Today there are new technologies that will eliminate heat damage and improve the general condition of your hair leaving it straight, smooth, and healthy. Among these technologies is ceramic tourmaline technology, which moisturizes and ionizes your hair. For people who struggle with curls and waves, it is just the best option possible.

Chemical straightening can be applied, but it is highly dangerous, not to mention the poor results when the hairdresser is unskilled, or the product is chosen badly.

At the end, I would like to stress the importance of the suitable hairstyle. Sedu image doesnt couple with mundane and casual hairstyle. Sedu hairstyle is tempting, ardent, and always seductive. There are actually several points in choosing hairstyle: face shape, individual preferences, and favorite celebrity image.

Your face shape can be round, square, oval, rectangular, or heart-like. So, when youre choosing a haircut, mind that not all of them will suit your face shape.

By individual preferences I mean couple of hairstyles you prefer, or hair length you would like to have. When speaking to your hairdresser about your preferences, you should also take into consideration your face shape for the best result.

And the last point is favorite celebrity image. The procedure is the following: you choose several pictures of your favorite celebrity, and go to your hairdresser. Then together you choose the most suitable hairstyle that will be both your favorite celebrity sedu image and your own sedu image.

So, I believe that now you will be able to create your own Sedu hairstyle that will reveal your inner self, and discover passionate and tempting features of your own character. Remember that Sedu hairstyle is not only external look, but something you live with. Believe that you are Sedu, and be Sedu.
